Interesting that Kory Holden and Canyon Barry are listed #1 and #2 on ESPN's transfer ranking, even above the Martin twins from NC State.

RE: College Transfers
Just wondering about something- who's the last guy to transfer from W&M to another school? Calvin Baker? I'm sure I am missing someone. Feels like W&M hasn't had anyone important bail in quite a while.

EOA was after Baker, wasn't he? And we had the Canadian dunk champion transfer, too, but I don't remember when.

RE: College Transfers
Add Towson PG Byron Hawkins (and one time Tribe recruit) to the transfer list. So, go to Vegas, then come home and bolt. Must have seen the P5 attention Holden is getting and eyes got big....Big hit for Towson next year.

EOA was after the 2005 season. Also it appears he's now doing MMA. Baker was after 2006.

Edwin Ofori-Attah. The first great recruit for Shaver. Never got his head on straight, but was a pretty good talent. He was athletically on the level of our current recruits, which made him stick out on those teams.

The only thing I remembered about this kid is his name. Supposedly, he had great "potential" but I don't remember watching him actually play in any games.

RE: College Transfers
We had John Sexton (I think) also transfer out somewhere in the early to mid 2000's. And does anyone remember Justin Jackette dropping 30 (loss) in front of no one at the CAA tournament? He transferred to Manhattan afterwards.

RE: College Transfers
A Byron Hawkins transfer would be pretty big news, would it not? Towson seems to be one of the leading contenders for the title next year and he seems to have been a major contributor.

RE: College Transfers
Here is the CAA list that I see from the ESPN site as of now:

Charleston
Canyon Barry
Donovan Gilmore

Delaware (Have 7 scholarships to give for this year and 4 more year after)
Eric Carter
Chivarsky Corbett
Kory Holden
Skye Johnson
Also lost a recruit Randy Miller who decommitted

Drexel
Terrell Allen

James Madison (only 1 scholarship left for next season but 9 more for 2017-2018)
None that I see but they lost a recruit Jordan Shepherd who I don't think had signed an LOI yet

Northeastern
Brandon Kamga

Towson
None on the ESPN list but word is that Byron Hawkins is transferring

He was a bad apple.

Sorry, couldn't resist.

Bad Apple

Have Google Translate that page to English. Its a riot. My favorite line:

"After the descent of the USC, it was quiet at Ofori-Attah, who afterwards only in the third-rate German Regionalliga went on basket hunting."

Never has there ever been a better synonym for (bad) basketball than "basket hunting".

Now adding Chuck Ogbodo. Looks like so far only Hofstra, Elon and W&M from the conference not losing someone to transfer or late commit who changed their mind

RE: College Transfers
These numbers of transfers, both "up" and "down," are really disheartening. The mid- majors more and more are being treated like a de facto minor league system for the P5.
