Hofstra's achilles heel in the end was their lack of depth in a conference that is largely tourney champ, or bust.

Wait just one second...when it was crunch time...and he had to actually pick Hofstra to lose the tournament and UNCW to win...he folded like a like an umbrella at WB and picked Hostra to win it all. The record is there and it's clear. He picked Hofstra and yours truly picked the Dub' :-)

Nope I picked W&M to beat Hofstra and then us. I do think the Tribe would have been the tougher matchup for us in the final, but we were fortunate they were on Hofstra's side of the bracket. They matched up terribly with the Pride and Hofstra had not yet succumbed to their fatigue.

But yes, in that respect I was still wrong in my finals prediction and you were perfectly correct. For which I am glad!

I never could see the Tribe beating Hofstra, but they did a great job of wearing them down. The tournament bracket played out perfectly for us. That last loss to Hofstra turned out to be our ticket to the NCAA. I don't know if we would have beaten the Tribe in the championship game.

I think you both did an outstanding job on predictions.

Also, faltering on the regular season turned out to be a major blessing in disguise due to the way the rest of the league shook out.
