Hey, we got a new sign that reads, "Tribe Concessions" this year and a television mounted behind the counter. If that doesn't scream big time basketball, Tribe32, you're just not paying attention.

Enough said.

That's SEC vs CAA. I would argue that Tennessee football pays for much of the fancy amenities that the basketball fans enjoy. We certainly can aspire to improve attendance, but it's a bit of apples vs oranges. In the CAA world of attendance, W&M is in the upper half of the league. If the Tribe continue to build off of their succesess, attendance will continue to rise. Sustained success will bring sustained crowds. I wish the funding was there to improve Kaplan and the game day experience, but that SEC money isn't there.

After the Parkhill era we had some pretty terrible coaches with the exception of Woolham.

Now as we have built a good recruiting channel the athletic department needs to step up and put some money into the program.
1) pay the assistant coaches more
2) modernize the hall or tear it down
3) pay for a good preseason tournament every year
4) add a marketing campaign to attract more fans. The team is good now. No excuse.

There is no point in fixing any of the above until W&M fixes the parking/traffic problem at W&M Hall. I left home early for Senior Day because I really wanted to see Terry and Sean [and their parents] get well deserved recognition. But I spent 20 minutes stuck in traffic between Montichello Ave and the W&M Hall parking lot and barely got to the game in time for tip-off. This is a serious problem and needs to be fixed before money is invested in any new academic buildings.

GET THE CONSTRUCTION STUFF OUT OF THE W&M HALL PARKING LOT!!!! It has probably been there for 20 -30 years now, find another place for this stuff!

But where else can they put the construction containers/equipment? There is really no other place on campus for it.

Went to the game yesterday and by chance ended up sitting behind the Tarpey's. Chatted much of the time with his uncles. Great people and you can tell they are a great family. Wish both of our Seniors the best and cannot thank them enough for what they have done for our school and this program. As someone who grew up in Williamsburg, and attended W&M from the early to mid 90's, three 20 win seasons is something I never expected to see.

Hey,
I get the fact that Tennessee is in the SEC, but why isn't it reasonable to have decent concessions?

Also, we have the apparel thing on the floor of the court. Why not just put something up in the concourse.

It's not like I'm asking for a real bathroom like at Zable.

Put the stuff in the parking lot inside Zable. I guess that would be too much of an eyesore.

Easy. Behind Dillard in their old lot.

Another punch to the gut to go along with being in the forgotten 5, I saw a tweet on Twitter....
"Coach with longest NCAA drought at one school is now Tony Shaver of William & Mary, hired in 2003."

The concessions are costing the College lost revenue so no excuse as the crowd grows. As for the parking lot it is bad-put toe containers it in the lot behind the old Campus Center and power plant-lot of space back there.

RE: Great Season Tribe. Thank You.
Great season. We finished no lower than we deserved, but maybe not as high. Shots fall, we're playing tonight. After the first Hofstra game I wasn't sure that we belonged on the court with them. After the last two, I think we'd win 5-6 out of 10 against them, and they should be thrilled to get out of Sunday's game with a win. We took it to them and could have if not should have won.

Tarpey finishes as the 1st two time DPOY for the Tribe. Omar gets his first All-CAA 1st team. Sheldon showed us offense in the second half of the season that we never saw coming. Dixon's injuries down the stretch hurt a lot for the second year running. I really think this team hinges on his health next year. Cohn was a shining light.

Burchfield showed a lot of confidence on the court and looks like he's developing into more than just the best shooter in the conference. The only negative about getting Cohn this year was that Tot went to the bench. I'd love to see him at SF some next year because he needs to be on the floor. Malinowski will help ease the pain of losing Tarpey to graduation. I'm interested to see how our center position shakes out next year. We have two guys that should be in a real dogfight for the starting role, and the incoming freshman may push for backup minutes.

All in all, 20 wins is a significant accomplishment, especially for the third season running. I hope the guys want to play in a postseason tourney this year. They've certainly earned it, and maybe we can get one more home game.
