Ladies Golf at Kiawah
The Ladies team seems to be having a successful tournament thus far down here in Charleston. They are tied for 14th (out of 41) and will be playing in the championship flight today. I don't recall them competing remotely as successfully in prior years. Alessandro Liu is 5th in individual scoring at even par, only 3 off the lead.

Five of the CAA schools are here. Charleston is tied for first; no surprise there. Not only are they are good team but they practice every Friday at one of the two courses being played in the tournament. Elon is 4th and Delaware is tied for 8th. Towson is tied for 30th.

From a financial perspective, W&M and Elon drove here. Delaware flew (they were on the flight my wife and I took back from Baltimore this weekend). I don't know how schools in conferences like C-USA with such wide geographic footprints can afford non-revenue sports.

Women's team was strong last year, and had a good fall. They actually fell back 3 spots in the second round at Kiawah. Liu has won four medals in tournaments over the past year.
