Who wins? Basketball as a sport in Alabama could be the main winner. Who knows how long it will take for Alabama to catch up to its nearby states that already have their flagship universities playing their fellow state universities without fear of the sky falling. It doesn't HAVE to be like we have it here.

I agree. Who wins? Basketball in this state wins.

except for the 11 losses & the roster/scholarship mismanagement....

Honestly, what does Haase have to do to make you happy ?

Scarbo's clickbait states that Obasohan is having the best year of any player on either team.

scroll down to the "per 40 minutes" stats for both these guys :

http://www.sports-reference.com/cbb/play...ley-1.html

Cokley's numbers are a dead heat with Obasohan's.

You can't look at win total and determine who has had the better season. Bama has 4 RPI top 50 wins...we haven't played a top 50 opponent. If this game were to happen on a neutral court it'd be close, I believe.

No, I think that's fair.

They have a first year head coach that has some big time wins over ranked teams. The losses definitely hurt, but they'd be buoyed by being in a power conference. If they had beat Kentucky in one of those games, they probably could have been an at large bid with 12 losses.

It's confirmation that he isn't a complete homer. Our win total is clearly inflated by inferior competition. How much so? I'm not sure. Alabama has many more good wins than we do, and an rpi that represents that. Id love to play them, and I think it would be a very good game. It's really impossible to do so though, unless it's in the nit.

The RPI is a self complimenting system. I honestly hope y'all can see that.

So you wouldn't have liked Gene Barrow either. He didn't get to the Sweet 16 regularly.

Your troll is showing again.

How many top 25 wins each coach has this year? Maybe to make it fair take Avery's one year compared to Haase whole tenure. Lol

In a different thread, you doubted that a kid currently playing 20 minutes a game at UAT would be on the roster next year, due to Avery over signing recruits.
