My comment was not directed at you WM33LT.

No one is denying the first 30 minutes of last night's game weren't frustrating. That's why I choose not to post in-game and generally wait to allow the games to play out.

I just hate seeing a segment of the WM fan base developing a JMU mentality towards college sports. Their fan base is notorious for running hot and cold, from game to game, or even play to play, and denigrating their own team and players the minute things turn south. Their board is unreadable at times because its a constant *****-fest.

I'm not saying people shouldn't post in-game or shouldn't vent frustration. My wife was rolling her eyes at me last night during my more animated states. IMO it can be done without bashing, belittling or insulting our coaches or players. BillyMac had a great post a week or two back explaining where that line is in his view. Even frustration can be positive in tone (i.e., Come on guys pick up the defense! vs Our players suck and can't play defense!)

Like TITB said, its pretty telling that the fans that are posting negativity when we're down stop posting once the game turns around.

On to JMU. One Tribe!

This response is in part related to the OOC thread...

I don't have a problem with in-game posts commenting on poor play. I have a problem with the flow of posts stopping when we turn it around. As I said before, except for the end of game posts with the final score, I'd have thought we lost. In comeback wins I expect to see the rollercoaster posts come back up with the score. I haven't gone over the play-by-play, so I still have mostly no idea what happened to get us from 9 down to 10 up.

I cut Rocco some slack here. If we went downhill every time he was watching and posting, it's in everyone's best interest if he stopped watching and posting. Find the boundaries that make us play well and stick to them.

The problem is the general flow of this game. Basically we came back because we played slightly better and Elon stunk up the joint. There really wasn't a lot to talk about.
