RE: Sun Belt Revenue Distribution
If the Sun Belt could pull off adding nmsu, Missouri St, Wichita St, & EKU distribution would jump the SBC basketball appeal would greatly improve. That would truly be a good all sports conference.

Improve how? In better TV deal? We likely would still only be a one bid conference. I think is improved but nothing that would translate into significant money. We would still be a football first conference with one spot in the tourney.

Idk, I believe that lineup plus improvement of ga state, uta, little rock, and coastal could be dangerous. Two bids could happen.

Distributions for fiscal year ending June 30, 2014 were $7.4MM. UL was the highest of the football schools with $1.06MM distribution. FWIW, King Karl's compensation was $440,000.
I have not been able to locate numbers for year ending June 30, 2015.

Our commissioner shouldn't make more than some of our university ADs, much less our presidents and chancellors.

RE: Sun Belt Revenue Distribution
The MVC just renewed its deal with ESPN. I believe our deal is about to be renegotiated. I would say to approach ESPN and see what they would offer an Expanded SBC that included Witchita State (all sports since they are exploring reviving football), NMSU (all sports), and UTA (football). Would give us 12 for football, 14 for basketball, new markets for football and basketball, and quality programs in basketball. That lineup would consist of 4 programs that participated in the 2015 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament. That's got to be worth something...

I don't think our tv deal is up for like two more years.

This might be true but if Benson isn't already negotiating with the networks he needs to be fired immediately.

Informal I'm sure but it's not like we carry a lot of weight to push on them.
