The NWCA National Duals is like the BCS/New Year's Six of college wrestling. They're duals between 8 Big Ten schools (the best wrestling conference) and 8 conference champions/at-large teams. It's not a tournament, just like the BCS/New Year's Six. App State qualified as the SoCon Champ.

On Sunday, App State went to Bloomington and beat Indiana 21-13. The Hooisers were up 13-9 with 3 matches left, but the Apps finished strong to claim the day.

Did Haystacks Calhoun place?

whats overall, been a down year for App's athletics, the wrestling team has had one of their best years in a long time, ranked in the top 25 for a good part of the season, really proud how they have performed.

I wish UL would have a wrestling program a ton of talent around Lafayette and New Orleans.

How many matches/tournaments happen in a wrestling season? Seems like, in general, a low cost sport to host and I wonder why more schools don't host it (in the south, that is).
