RE: HEYFARL
Very impressive. I have contributed to HEYFARL in the past and will again. Quick question/clarification. When you say true walk-on, do you mean a "recruited" walk-on (i.e. - reported when the rest of the scholarship freshmen did) or someone who walked on to the program after school started? (I recall having a couple of those when I was there in the early to mid 90's.)

Both. Ben Cottingham, for example, was a school-open walk-on. In general refer to guys who came in with no scholarship support.

Thanks, SF.

This is truly a great aspect of Tribe Football. It is one of the things that really distinguishes us from the rest.

I set my HEYFARL up using my credit card. Each month $10 is contributed so there is no chance of forgetting to donate.

RE: HEYFARL
This says a lot about the team, the coaches and the players.

Team: there are few egos. Scholarship, walk on doesn't matter. You perform, you contribute you are One Tribe One Family

Coaches: Knowing the limited scholarships they have each class, they must identify players that they believe will someday perform and contribute. That will sacrifice time, their body and money to be a part of the Tribe. That can't be easy to do. You would think that if these players ended up good enough to play in the CAA that they could have received scholarships from other schools to play.

Lastly the Players: Congrats to these guys who believed in themselves, took a chance, worked hard and it paid off. It can't be easy to get through. The guys on this list became or are valuable, contributing players.

RE: HEYFARL
Reading the list what is impressive are the names of guys who were not "stars". There are a few who saw very little if any playing time, 3rd down specialist , special teamers, or just back ups. These guys help make a team with their spirit and hard work in practice or when called upon. This fund receives a few of the pennies I am able to give to The Tribe Club since it is so worthwhile
