Fumbles needs to address the vendor like he addressed Temple baseball, softball, crew, gymnastics, track...

RE: The North Texas Game Thread
Walking in I noticed the stand next to the student section was closed. I took that as a bad sign, especially since those were the people least likely to be hitting the Green and Gold Room.
Sometime in the second half I noticed the lady in front of me showing her husband a Tweet from Ingram apologizing for the lines and saying it would be addressed with the vendor again.
Later I noticed the lady sitting next to me returning with a hot dog. She had been gone since the beginning of halftime and I had assumed she switched seats or left early. I was so surprised I took note of the time ... 7:50 to play. As her husband put it "You missed a hell of a comeback."

Similar experience in the concession stand early in the second half all of the lines were about a 20 minute wait. After getting to the front they were out of cookies and nachos. They just don't seem to care.

If we want to be a big time program, we shouldn't be having issues selling concessions at our home games. Who knows how much business was lost last night,
This is a good idea.

Including off the free throw line. BTW, UNT is not last in the conference in free throw percentage anymore. They are now 13th, while MT is 14th. (Conference games only)

This is our best record since starting 18-2 in 2009-2010, correct?
What was our best start overall?

The best part of his idea was the part about not using the concession stands.
If I buy anything at a concession stand, it is well before the game starts. Once the game is underway, I am there to watch a game, not eat. And I recognize the fact that half time is not the time to go to the concession stand because everyone else goes then.
I suspect that the vendor will be gone after this season. Ingram didn't put them in place, so he won't have a problem removing them. With only four home games left, probably too late to overhaul it this season.

I do believe that was our best 20 game record ever, making this our second best
I also believe that year we finished the regular season 5-5 (or something like that)...we need to finish strong

Yeah that was another year we were able to turn an NCAA bid into an NIT bid.

So if we win both games this week, we'd beat our best start ever (after 22 games)?

RE: The North Texas Game Thread
That Mike Davis team had 4 top 100 RPI wins and only 2 sub 100 RPI losses the whole year. This year's team currently has one top 100 RPI win and 2 sub 100 RPI losses with 10+ games to play against mostly bad teams.
But yes, after that home UTEP loss that season absolutely collapsed.

Yes. We were 18-3 in the 1993-94 season, but lost 3 straight. Actually we lost two straight after our great start in 2009-2010
That was the last time we were ranked, too. We were 25th after the 17th win. We went on to beat Marshall then lose to UTEP in OT.

Also, UAB had only one turnover in that time period and scored two points in each of the remaining six offensive possessions. They converted two points on six of their final seven offensive possessions. They scored 1.7 points per trip down court in their final seven possessions and gave up 0.0 points in seven defensive possessions. That is quite noteworthy, as well, near perfection on both ends of the court.
