Hofstra and Towson
It's cold out there with a chance of some postponements due to this blizzard on Saturday. I think they'll play both in Boston unless Towson fails to make it up by Saturday.

This is a big statement weekend. Home games against two 4-2 teams. One preseason favorite, and one surprise. I'd like to see us win both. It would establish ourselves as a contender after getting smoked by JMU and W&M recently. Going 1-1 isn't the end of the world and is probably the most likely outcome. An 0-2 weekend would really knock us down.

Hofstra and Towson play two very different kinds of games. Tonight we have Hofstra, who we swept last year while putting up a lot of points. They Were Fun Basketball games to watch. We have the ability to run, but will we do it? What's interesting is Hofstra has less depth than we do, so if we can get them into foul trouble like we've been able to a lot this season, I like our chances.

Go NU!

RE: Hofstra and Towson
What the hell has happened to this team?

We were out-rebounded a total of 3 times in our first 16 games. We out-rebounded Michigan State (#3 rebounding margin in country), Stony Brook (#20), and Miami FL (#47). Where does it go wrong? We've been out-rebounded in our last 4 games, including 60-32 tonight!!!

Rebounds aside, we were still in position to win this game tonight, and blew it on an awful 5 second violation with 9 seconds left (and 2 timeouts)...

We are in a funk, it'll come down to a weekend in Baltimore. I think we will finish in the top 6 to get that first round bye, but I guess you never know...I still think he have the talent to win the conference, but do we have the mental steadiness? The heart?

Yesterday was the sixth time in nineteen games that no Hofstra player had 4 or more fouls. It was Hofstra's first triple overtime game since January 14, 2006, and in that game four Hofstra players had 4 or more fouls.

They are very disciplined.

With Ford out today, we are having a lot of trouble scoring. Towson doing a great job on D, being very physical. 03-no

After 19 points in the first half, we've gotten 14 in the first 4 minutes of the 2nd half. Within a point now, TJ Williams and David Walker the catalysts so far.
