They sent one to me, several, actually. The key is to make sure you note the pledge number when paying, especially if you do it online, so that they match your payment to your pre-existing pledge and get it to the right account.

Yeah, that's what I figured. I haven't received anything lately. I guess I'll give them a call.

The rest of the goals are September 1st of 2016, 17, 18 and 19. After the $8 million goal in September, they want $3 million a year for the duration of the 5 year period. Incidentally, since we're at $5.2 million right now, the next chunk is about $3 million as well.

So it looks like they just wanted to load up a lot on the front end to make it harder for the trustees to delay the football buildings projects. After this deadline, it levels out. I'm more okay with the time pressure now than when it was first announced, in part because I was able to fast track my personal pledge under less financial duress than I originally thought I'd be under. It also looks great for us that we're able to stay ahead of the pace they wanted. It flies in the face of the money in the bank/ you can't run a university on promises rhetoric that came from the Watts camp before they brought football back.

I'm ready to see the indoor thing get built.

The trustees are the ones that wanted these deadlines, not UAB. Ingram can spout off all he wants. If you read Hattons comments he indicated this among with others from the foundation but this is not where I got that info. It's from the same sources that have been feeding us from when we went public with their plans. So far their road blocks have been meerly speed bumps.

Screw their deadlines and the BOT.

And of course their next deadline falls at an odd time for giving (Sept) which means more people will have to dig deep going into the holidays. This to essentially have half of a 5 year commitment done in about 15 months.

I'm not doing it. They can kiss my Watts. i'm sticking with my agreement and if anyone doesn't like it I'll be happy to show up in court if they even think about touching football after I have a signed agreement with the president.
