One of our players, sophomore DT/C Will Trevillion, passed away today. Cause unknown. Players tweeting their shock.

Will was out the past season and had some form of breathing issue. If I recall, he had a tracheotomy that relieved it. I do not know if this is even related.

Sounds like it could be a congenital lung problem. Just awful.

Here is the update. The funeral will be held in Jackson, MS on Thursday.
The memorial will be the week school starts the spring semester. Several shout outs and kudos to the Texas State Athletic Department who have stepped up and helped WT's dad every step of the way. The New HC has reached out to him also as well as Dr. Teis.

One TXST alum offered a custom made casket and another is paying all funeral expenses.

The Viewing is today and many team membe4s went to MS for it. Memorial Service will be Tuesday night at Strahan.
There will be an endowment set up in Will's name in the near future.

Autopsy report has come back and states enlarged heart was cause of death.

“Individuals with enlarged hearts are at increased risk for sudden cardiac death including arrhythmias (improper beating of the heart) and acute myocardial infarctions (heart attacks),” Smith said.
