MONMOUTH
With the conference season starting this week, and with the game tonight starting a very important 2 week period that has us at home 4 times, I thought that I would offer some perspective in advance of what promises to be a real conference battle, with plenty of ups and downs over the next 9 weeks.
I call to your attention little Monmouth, America's darlings so far this year. This team, as of yesterday, had an RPI of 13, with wins over Notre Dame and Southern Cal on a neutral court, wins at UCLA and Georgetown, and a 3 point loss to Dayton. Then yesterday, they lost at ARMY, of all places. That's right, West Point!!
So when we are invariably wringing our hands during the season and wondering how we can take any Tribe team seriously that could lose at "fill in the blank", just remember Monmouth!! I plan to.
GO TRIBE!!

RE: MONMOUTH
Good post. Even with all of their OOC success, which is fantastic, does anyone think they can maintain it through conference play? They are going to take their lumps. It certainly helps their at large chances but I expect the RPI to drop a good bit.

RE: MONMOUTH
According to rpi forecast you can lose 6 conferenc e games and your rpi would be 46. Any less than that your rpi would be good enough to be in the at large talk if you do not win the conference tourney. Much stronger conference top to bottom this year and a loss will not be near as bad as last year in conference when it comes to rpi.
I am referring to your rpi..
