Two items of note

Interim coach got more from the players than Fritz.

If WKU had stayed in the SBC you could argue we'd have the better football conference.

I won't argue with that at all. The players love Coach McGee. Many lobbied on social media for him to get the job, and some were very upset when he didn't get it. It goes to show how good of a coach he is...he had them so focused. He's a high school coaching legend in Georgia. I feel if he had more than just two years of collegiate coaching experience, he would have been the easy no brainer choice to lead our program.

I understand the new coach wants to keep him on staff badly, but I've also heard he has multiple P5 offers as a RB coach. My fingers are crossed. 01-ncaabbs

When we laid out their wr on the very first play, I instantly knew this team was more focused and way more fired up than they were for the ga state game. What a huge difference it was

Guess having a coach who gives a **** actually does help. Whodathunkit?

But seriously, I know a bowl game can be a toss up. Just depends on who gets up more.

It takes more than one sport to make a program better. They are great replacements though

Hey, we are leading the Bubas Cup by a pretty hefty margin, so our athletic program overall is doing pretty good replacing y'all all together. Let's just not mention basketball.

Congrats GS. Nice for the Belt's season to end on a high note. I hope this was another step in convincing any FBS naysayers left in your fanbase that the move up was the right one.

And with how strange the year has ended up for Georgia State football, it's probably fitting that Eagle fans will forever be able to say that you won a bowl game before the Panthers did. It's been a long time coming for your program. I like where college football stands in Georgia right now.

I'd prefer to offer him the OC position for the nice raise and to stay at Southern for another year or two.

Even if McGee does leave, I have a sense he will be the HC at Georgia Southern once Summers takes his talents to another school.

Majority of the time you will because you offer more sports...we won 7 conference titles in 2014 and finished 3rd in the bubba cup.

Merry Christmas everyone.

Still on cloud nine after last night. Great way to end on a high note. Hopefully CS takes this momentum and runs with it in recruiting.
