nope, but it's not like our academic side is ignored. We just don't mention our academic facilities on this site.

Here are some of the non-athletic construction projects on our downtown campus. Fair to say that our academic facilities receive equal share of the money to our athletic side.

Academics and Athletics have never been close to equal in funding and are not close now. We have state of the art oooh and aaaah buildingr for Academics. Baseball and Soccer play 10 miles away in high school level facilities. Ones of the best MBB teams in the country plays in a rec center. As an illustration of how poorly funded Athletics is, the rec center portion moved out into a brand new multi million dollar rec center in the early 2000s and left Athletics behind. It's just now that we are minimally addressing athletics facilities largely due to embarrassment and even slow we are going way slow about it.

See, based on the bolded above, here is why we laugh at a lot of what you guys say......

This is a snipit of the current MBB NET Rankings from the NCAA Website. They don't have you listed in the AP or Coaches polls because they don't rank that low on their page.

128 127 Western Ky. C-USA 14-10 4-7 2-1 8-2 0-0
129 130 Harvard Ivy League 10-7 3-6 1-0 5-1 1-0
130 131 Ga. Southern Sun Belt 14-9 5-6 3-0 4-3 2-0
131 132 Akron MAC 13-9 1-6 2-2 8-1 2-0
132 134 Northern Ill. MAC 12-11 3-6 1-1 6-4 2-0
133 133 Central Mich. MAC 16-6 4-3 2-1 7-2 3-0
134 135 Georgia St. Sun Belt 16-7 5-5 2-1 8-1 1-0
135 137 Boston College ACC 11-10 2-4 2-0 7-6 0-0
136 136 Kent St. MAC 17-5 6-2 0-0 9-3 2-0
137 129 Jacksonville St. OVC 16-8 6-7 2-0 6

I'll grant you that you're a game ahead of us in the conf rankings, but I'm not the one saying anything about being one of the best teams in the country. 01-wingedeagle
Oh my...

RPI 48 last week.

I have lost track of how many 20 win seasons under CRH or how many wins in last 6 years.

How many P5s taken down this year.

Best eyebrow raising tweet about the program was by our SID with a picture of his 6 year old son reading the GSU MBB program and mentioning that his son does not know what a losing GSU basketball season looks like.

Best team in this state for quite many a year. Period. Not close. Is that better for you?

Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

best team in the state and some winning seasons does not equate to "one of the best teams in the country". RPI of 48 and only making it into the Dance because of being an automatic qualifier doesn't either.

Its not hard to be the best basketball team in GA when uga and GT have been spectacularly bad and we are just slightly above average at best. You MAY have a better basketball team than us again this year, but we aren't crowing about being one of the best in the country now are we?

I only respond like this to call you guys out on the BS. Don't want to read my posts? Don't make asinine claims that you can't back up. 04-cheers

Not really. Our OC Trickett took a job with Neal Brown at West Virginia, so I simply went back to that thread yesterday to read more about that situation. Guess which comment popped up first.....trolls dont change.

Didn't talk $#%^& about your basketball team once. I simply called out Panama for saying you were one of the best teams in the country. BIG DIFFERENCE!

what an unbiased enlightened poster who should be taken seriously

There is not one poster on here that is unbiased, and very few that should be taken seriously. You do realize it's a message board right?

I makes me happy that you had to go through my past posts to find that gem though. 02-13-banana As Eaglewraith says.....Rent Free!

Wow, you still have something to say after that? 07-coffee3

Not really. Our OC Trickett took a job with Neal Brown at West Virginia, so I simply went back to that thread yesterday to read more about that situation. Guess which comment popped up first.....trolls dont change.

Wait a minute, Brown hired your OC? For what position?
