Can someone update the score? I'm having to follow through the thread.

Malinowski would start for many teams. He is very smooth, is very court and situation-aware, and, besides being a good shooter, an excellent passer, ball handler and rebounder. What a second half he had. Tony noted on post-game radio show that Greg is considered a starter.
Also...wouldn't we have liked a microphone in the locker room at half time to hear Tony's talk!

First & second half of this game looked like our season so far, either really bad or really good.

I know that my observation is based on a small sample size, and against a D3 opponent, but I was really impressed with the performance of one guy last night who gets slammed on these boards a lot, Mike Schlottman. Mike did not play in the first half last night, and that came on the heels of not playing the second half at UVA. A message is clearly being sent by the coaching staff and I think that Mike finally heard it.
Mike played a really solid second half. FINALLY he looked like he was engaged in the offense from the get go.He aggressively took the ball to the basket when the opportunity presented itself, scoring on two occasions and getting fouled on a third. And I think that he wound up with at least four assists, two of which were absolutely gorgeous. For one half, granted against a D3 team, he did not play with the tentativeness that drives many of us crazy. I would really like Tony to give him some extended minutes against High Point to see if last night was the beginning of the "new" Mike.
One other observation. I look at Connor Burchfield on the floor warming up and I see a skinny kid with a great stroke, mentally turning him into a one dimensional situational player. I am wrong. The kid seems to have the ability to take the ball to the hoop, seems to always be around rebounds when he is on the floor, and is beginning to play better defense.

Agree 100% with comments above about Mike and Connor. Last night was the first time Mike has exhibited the skills we have been expecting [and hoping] to see for the past three years. And, in addition to being a deadly 3-point shooter, Connor shows amazing abilities under the basket and rebounding.

Same here. I thought Omar and Connor were the only bright spots in the first half, and I was impressed by Schlotman in the second half. Tot definitely looks like he's out of synch right now, and I hope that last night was a sign of Schlotman turning the corner for us. 75, I thought the same thing as you while watching the second half. I had pretty much written Burchfield off after last season as a shooter who would be a spot player, but he's really worked his way into the rotation and impressed me with his confidence. For those that are down on Rowley, look at Burchfield as an example of what strong practice work and some playing time can do. After last night I'm not convinced we'll get anything out of Paul this year, but can't close the book on him until he gets some more playing time and/or seasoning. We'll know by the time he's a junior, but there's too much talent in front of him to make the call now.
