I've long held that Phil Steele is an idiot, so obviously, this list is plagiarized.

He had left Knighten off the preseason lists... Then bent over backwards in an attempt to justify that pick.

He has Knighten 2nd team this year postseason, which makes sense because of Arbuckle.

It looks like they tried to fill up a team with 4 (2 offense/2 defense) from each team.

Except TXST. Not surprising though; other than Kaba who had better stats than Matics.

Not sure what stats you are looking at.

Matics was 13 for 14 (92.9%) on FGs and 57 for 57 on PATs.

Kaba was 10 for 18 (55.6%) on FGs and 26 for 27 on PATs.

Matics was clearly the best kicker in the Sun Belt. He won STPOW twice and had multiple 50+ yarders as well.

Matics is a weapon. He should have received the game ball after our game against you guys. Without him, you would likely be 9-3 right now.

Matics is listed (above list) as K not PK. Kaba was 2nd in almost every statistical category behind Rekhow and first in many as a K/P. He sucked as a PK. Fran got himself in a bind by not recruiting a good PK. Steele isn't discerning enough on his STs. As I posted on the All SBC team thread:
NCAA Rankings - Punting
6 Rehkow - Idaho - 45.7
17 Kaba - TXST - 44.3
23 Crichter - App 44.1
25 Lutz - GSU - 43.9
40 Ferguson - ASU - 42.9

Kaba was 2nd in punt average, longest punt, Net yardage and had a 9.15 return average. (174/19 = 9.157) In line with most of the main SBC punters

Kaba also has the best KO average with most touchbacks (tied with Rehkow) and least KOs returned but, we can't argue it. Kaba has another year to get some recognition.
(He also had a STPOTW)

So I'll leave it at that. We had an overall crap year and, as I also said, kind of what I expected. We totally sucked.

Now....go win your Bowl Game.04-cheers
