RE: Radford game thread
We had 11 more FT attempts and out rebounded them-which is pretty hard to do with their size.

Great strategy driving but gotta make the free throws. We make those we win this easy. Move on and get ready for the Louisville games

RE: Radford game thread
I really thought we would be a good team from the three this year. So far we have been horrible

RE: Radford game thread
You have to shoot good 3's with good 3 ball shooters to have a good %. I've noticed that several of our 3 balls were not inside out or drive and kick out shots, but rather shots off the dribble/out of rhythm. They should be able to turn it around though. Ponder and Ingram can hit them as can Flemmings. Flemmings is consistent with his preshot approach from what I've seen and that's why he seems to hit more of them. Ponder's % is good too and has proven to hit them over his career as has Sherwood. Sherwood and Ingram should eventually get rolling. Ingram needs to take good 3's. If he does, he will hit them.

Not sure about this game because I missed it with family over, but I disagree Bill. Ponder has been horrid from 3. His lousy shot selection and shooting hurt bad in the ecu game. Like I said though, I missed this game.

Watched the 2nd half. Different strategy then ecu but refs didn't call nearly as much. Very physical game. Our strategy was good just missed the fts. Lost at the buzzard.

Ponder was shooting greater than 40% from 3 going into the game today. That's a good percentage period. And, he shot 45% from 3 all of last year!!!!!! He can flat out shoot the pill and honestly doesn't shoot enough. He's the LEAST of my worries.

After watching the last two games he should be your worry he's been wretched. After getting us excited starting out the season it's become clear this team has a long long way to go.

RE: Radford game thread
Last year we shot .348 as a team from 3, this year we're at .282

Also, we took 25.35% of our shots from 3 last year, compared to 33.05% this year.

So, shooting more of our shots from 3 and hitting less is killing us.

Flemmings and Ponder have made 24-58, for 41.37% . It's Sherwood, Ingram and Talley that are hurting us, hitting just 16-73 for 21.92%.

I do like the fact Keatts used a very aggressive 3-2 zone which helped stop dribble penetration and lowered the # of fouls. That helps solve one problem

I do not like the fact we are shooting off the dribble, instead of shooting off the drive and kick out.

Okay. Glad it wasn't just me there.
