When we were at the top of the heap in FCS our coaches were always poached for FBS jobs..nothing new there and unless we end up with a "JerryMoore" (or a Bob McKillop at Davidson) who loves where they are and thinks they make enough we will always be an incubator for top level talent (both of us).

Not entirely true. He was in NYC this time last week for the NFF event, the same one the Tulane AD was talking to everyone in the room. A conversation likely took place, but that was the extent of it. Scott also went to Montgomery for the Camellia Bowl presser a few says ago.

Everyone knows he was in NY and Montgomery. You've got to stop being so literal about everything. If you don't know for certain he talked with Tulane, any talk of them having "a conversation" is pure speculation.

Seems our entire coaching staff minus Fritz will be coaching in bowl game.

I do feel for these coaches. Still only confirmed coach going to Tulane with Fritz is our DC.i m sure others will go but many may be about to be looking for a job.

They decided to be coaches, they know exactly what that involves when they decide to become coaches. I feel for their kids who never get to stay anywhere, their kids didn't pick their dad being a coach.

It's obvious that he wanted to coach at Tulane too, but since Fritz came from Southern he got the job instead. After all, Appalachian modeled their program after Georgia Southern and Georgia Southern is every Sun Belt team's Superbowl.

Clearly your posts lead one to believe that beating GS is an obsession yours. Does that make you normal and is GS your "Superbowl"?

Can't we just let this go. If he did interview he didn't get the job and if he didn't interview it's probably because he was smart enough to know a better opportunity would be coming his way soon enough.

Didn't Fritz take this job? Why do we care anymore?

If by Scott and the Tulane AD having a convo in NYC is composed of Hello, how are you? And have fun with your hirings and firings is considered a convo, then yes they had one.
