You know, the bowl that for a few minutes yesterday it looked like we might fill?

The matchup for this game is Colorado State vs Nevada. Both MWC teams. Why? Because the NCAA allowed Minnesota and Nebraska two 5-7 teams to get placed in far better games.

Conference released a statement calling the bowl system "Broken" and "A Travesty of the game"

Wow, that's pretty sad. USA calmost ended up there and everything would be ok. I'm glad the LR bowl didn't get approval. If I were Colorado St and Nevada, I'd just skip out and play the game at one of their home stadiums.

If I were them I wouldn't show up and pay to fly both teams to Indianapolis and play a scrimmage in the NCAA parking lot for the press.

The Neckster AD is still on the phone trying to secure a spot.

And the MAC Champ plays the 3rd place SBC team.

And the second SBC team plays a 6th place MAC team. Oh well. Just win baby win.

Ohio is 2nd in the East and has the third best overall record in the MAC. They aren't really the 6th best team out of the MAC.

Honestly we should be playing Ohio and App playing Bowling Green but I am quickly learning how this new bowl world works

Also bowling green getting taken by godaddy is not a surprise due to the fact they almost always have first or second dibs every year

No, happened with Big 8 once.

Look for it to fold after this year.

At least Colorado State and Nevada did not play each other during the regular season, unlike the all-Big 8 Orange Bowl from the late 1970s.

If South Alabama had won the Jaguars would have most likely gone to Arizona, and the ASN affiliates in Alabama and Northwest Florida would have picked up the game.

The one thing that should not be overlooked is that BYU actually had a deal to bump the Mountain West from this year's Las Vegas Bowl - and that one is on Thompson. I'm not sure what the MW got in return for that, but clearly it wasn't enough.
