RE: OT: Star Wars Thread [Warning: Possible Spoilers]
How on earth do you mess up Star Wars? There will literally be film classes taught about how bad the Star Wars IP has been managed. All you had to do is get the old guard (Han, Leia, Luke, and Chewy) back together for one 30 second scene, and 90% of the Original fans would have been happy. Let Luke have a scene or two more showing to be the wise Jedi Master he was and go out on top dying in a big battle. Introduce the new cast while respecting the old characters.........and you simply can print money. Nope way too easy, let's make Han a deadbeat dad, and lets make Luke a grumpy old man who is an utter failure and mad at the world.

Which totally ignored the novels that took place after the original trilogy. Luke in those novels created a new Jedi academy.. Got hitched up.. Had kids.. And still struggled..

They could've continued per the novels and had material for years...
