I think we have a good shot to have our first winning season under Kaspar this year.
. . . agreed . .. It's been a long dry spell, and I'll be glad to see it end . .

Kaspar went
8-23
14-17
His first two years here.
His first two years at SFA:
9-17
13-15
Curiously similar records. He only had one down year his last 11 seasons at SFA.
It's obviously, too early to tell, but if that trend continues, we MAY have seen our last losing season for a while.
One can only hope.

Big win by UTA. Congrats. You guys are tough and I look forward to our games. Looks like so far between UTA, UALR, and ULM.

I know it's early, and we've only played 4 games . . . But don't count KasparBall out just yet . . . .
. . . We may make a little noise before this thing is over . . .

It's very early and I Texas St. could very well compete for the title, I'm just liking how we are looking. 10-11 point wins over Chatanooga and ULL are quality wins and it looks like we are playing well. And everyone knows how UTA and UALR are doing. Good luck to you guys.

Well 1 out of 2 ain't bad. Hopefully was worth your $4.95. Wasn't a bad broadcast tonight.

I'm not sure that we are contenders yet, but we may have enough to spoil someone else's fun

Can't count out Georgia State yet either... will be a tough road for whoever takes the conference this year

I go to one game and the thread explodes... This post will consolidate several talking points.
The top half of the conference will be very competitive. I think between UTA, ULM, Little Rock, Texas State, Cajuns and Georgia State, there will be quite a battle and several upsets. The Cajuns have been disappointing early, no DI wins in three tries, though there has been no easy opponent. Georgia State was 8 points away from a nice 4-1 start.
I expect more from Troy and South Alabama this year and expect a few upsets along the way.
Only pushovers I see are Arkansas State, Appalachian State and Georgia Southern. Which means of course they'll all upset someone, likely UTA.
SBC may very well be a multi-bid league if two teams run away with it and meet in the conference tourney finals. 37-30 overall (30-16 without the three "pushovers").

BTW, third highest crowd in CPC history on hand tonight, 6,107. Averaging 3,800 through three games, though that will very likely decline through the holiday break.

Damn I knew is was pretty reasonable but 30-16 is pretty good considering. Looks like we are trending in the right direction.

Watch us go 1-19 in league this year with a win over UTA.
