RE: Sun Belt player of the year 2015.
I would go with Knighten as MVP as stAte has gone on a tear since he returned healthy. Assuming the Wolves win this Saturday they are an undefeated Belt Champion, and that doesn't happen without Freddy K. Rings should count. Breidia, Arbuckle, Rose and Lamb also had great years.

Breida had better stats and th conference title and McGuire still won last year. I have no idea who will win with these voters.

Breida led the Eagles to another highly successful season. ULL fell off big time even with McGuire. Maybe he wasn't the reason, but clearly there were other pieces more important than him.

I'm not even arguing that Breida didn't deserve it, he certainly did. But there are other players that I thought deserved it just a bit more last year, McGuire being one of them. We played against both, and I am still impressed with McGuire. If you take him out of the game, they struggle (see Fournette at LSU). Take Breida out, not a huge drop off. This is all just my personal oppinion.

I think Knighten should be in the conversation (especially since he's played in less than 75% of our games this year and is still lighting it up) but is behind LR3, Arbuckle, and Brieda.

hahaha! Youre right. For some reason, my brain substituted Patrick Cobbs for Brandon Kennedy. Shows you how much I was paying attention... As a Astate fan, I think we've all received brain damage from those years.

You mean the people who handle players for a living? I guess they should just let Georgia southern message board posters vote to get a truly unbiased opinion? Conference title shouldn't matter, just as being on a lesser team shouldn't matter.... Rose doesn't play defense, he can only control his job and he sure does that. Must be strange to wake up thinking the whole world is the boogey man out to get you. By your analogy, Breida doesn't deserve it this year because you didn't win the conference.

Are you this dense? No where did he say anything that you are implying. He used last year's winner to show that an undefeated belt champion with the stats is not a given for the award. The southern bias on here is absurd. To use your statement, every Ga Southern fan is not the boogey man.

I'll be shocked if Knighten doesn't win it. He's the best player on the #1 team which just happens to be one of the few long standing teams left in the conference. Arbuckle and Rose won't win it because their teams are (likely) both under .500 this year. That leaves Brieda and Lamb as the other contenders to go with Knighten. I still believe the voters favor the old timers just a bit over the young guys.

They punish kids with bad teammates all the time and they shouldn't. The championship goes to the team who had the best year, the award should go to the player who had the best season, regardless of his teams record.
