Playoff Game 2 - @Richmond
Saturday, Dec 5
12:00 kickoff (according to the UR website)
ESPN3

UR's ticket website seems pretty crappy in terms of ability to choose where you want to sit. I got 2 tickets in 214 Row O. The other options it gave me were 116 Row C or 202 Row D. I chose the ones closer to midfield and up higher, which I prefer.

Any parking advice? Not sure I will be there in time to do much tailgating, but if the Tribe fans are gathering somewhere, let us all know. 04-cheers

Team will have to step up... hoping we bring the defense from the last Richmond game and the offense from the first round of the playoffs. 05-mafia05-mafia

For the UR site... If you do say upper section... You can then go in and click the button that like let's you look again... You can keep doing this and eventually is should give you 215.

I may have jinxed us against Duquesne but I've had my ticket since Tuesday. I'm stoked for this one. We will play better this weekend

I hope we get the same refs as last time at UR. Especially the head official, that guy was great. Most succinct and authoritative ref I've ever seen. Plus, I don't remember anything about the refs, which is how it should be.

Unfortunately I'm pretty sure refs in the playoffs are from a conference other than the two participants of the game being played.

First time since 1918 we've played Richmond more than once in a season.

Other than 1996 season (which stretched into New Years 1997) when Florida State played Florida in consecutive games, Richmond may be the only team to play the same opponent in consecutive games (Us!). Anyone out there can feel free to correct me, this is just off memory.

(Note - Florida played Alabama between their FSU matchups and we played Duquesne)

Hoping for more of a cover 2 game plan in this game. Our corners are good ball players, and asking our safeties to cover the two top receivers in the CAA is asking a lot too. Throw in a few blitzes to disrupt the QB. Make tackles and swarm to the ball. If we hold the to 20 this week we win.

I honestly think (and hope) Richmond will try to run the ball. That's been their MO all season and Fisher and Green are fantastic backs

Maine did it a couple years ago with UNH. UNH beat Maine the last weekend to sneak in to the playoffs, Maine got a bye, and faced UNH in the 2nd round after UNH won their round 1 game.

UNH won that rematch against a Maine team that was supposed to make a deep run. But this sort of thing is certainly rare...beyond these, I don't know of any others.

Are the students bringing a bus? The students should bring a bus (or more)

Tribal Fever (no relation to me) tweeted yesterday that they are trying to provide bus information within a day or two. Sounds like a nerd herd will be en route.

Tribal Fever: "Working on the ticket/bus situation for this Saturday's Richmond game. We're looking to provide an update tomorrow."

Good. Some of the most fun I had in school was helping to run those trips. I'm glad they're keeping them alive

RE: Playoff Game 2 - @Richmond
William and Mary upsets Richmond, Western Illinois upsets Illinois St. William and Mary hosts WI to go to the semis. Think these thoughts all week. If you believe it you can achieve it! Lol, bring in Tony Robbins for a little extra mojo. I hope we come out and just play. It's a game, have fun, be lose, next play is more important than the last, and take it to these Spiders!
