You play the schedule the schedule makers give you and move on.

As much as I hate the Stink, I don't see them losing two in a row, one of the two, but not both.

I agree. USA has the distinct privilege of playing a pissed-off GS team that is out for blood for the second year in a row. I don't see us losing this coming Saturday in Paulson. I do wish we played Georgia State earlier in the season but I think the students will make it hard for GAST to put a play together in two weeks. I do think that the GAST game will be way closer than we want it to be though.

Bowl outlook after Week 12
Saturday after Thanksgiving means that Paulson won't be packed for USA. However, it'll be rocking December 5th for GA State...

80 bowl spots.

Right now 71 bowl eligible teams.

14 more need 1 more win and 4 more need 2 more wins (and have 2 games left)

Hap it's a discussion, a set of facts. Some have benifitted, some have had a tougher road. Next year it will happen again as programs ebb and flow.

I guess no one will discuss schedules when the four playoff teams are selected.

And you get the joy of coming to Jonesboro first...should make things interesting, especially as we try to replace our 3 big horses on offense.

We are replacing a lot on defense. The offense should be fine (perhaps even improved), but our D will likely take a step back.

Yeah, we're the opposite. Most of the defense looks to be back. We just have to replace Knighten, Gordon, and McKissic. That's no easy task.

Get used to that. That's going to be fairly typical for the top teams in this league for the next few years until the TV contract gets figured out. ESPN likes to put the best teams in the Tuesday and Thursday games, and after a year like this, you can almost guarantee our 3 programs are going to make up a large majority of those games.

Yeah it's "funny" the more success we have at this level the harder and less appealing our schedule is likely to be.

The Tuesday games could actually be a big help from the team and coaches perspective. Getting an extra two days to prepare for what our three offenses do can be a help.

Double edge sword from my butt in a seat perspective I hate the Tursday game but from a fan won't to gain an advantage over the opponent I like them.

It's similar to my emotions of winning versus losing the next two games will likely lead to a worse bowl game for my schedule. Of course I always won't them to win out. Just glad we made the jump and Satt has turned our program around in a much shorter timeframe than expected.

Welcome to the G5. If you want to play on a major television network, you better not mind Thursday or Tuesday nights.

MAC has almost gotten to the point where it's entire November schedule is played in the midweek. They had one game played yesterday as a league.

I hold out hope we will only have 1 midweek home game next year but with home games vs. App and Louisiana I am afraid it will be 2.

I could also see our game at Ark. St. being a midweek game. next year.

I expect you guys will get a Tuesday game next year as well. Cajuns and us have sort of dominated Tuesday's the last 4 seasons, but with ULL facing a 4 or 5 win season, I could see App/GS and GS/ArkState as the two Tuesday games next year.

RE: Bowl outlook after Week 12
I'm not as against midweek away games but it really kills attendance to have 2 mid-week HOME games.

So it is pretty much a given next year that Ark. St. and App don't play right?

It's been all but confirmed on our end that we miss App and Idaho, and Georgia Southern comes to Jonesboro.

RE: Bowl outlook after Week 12
I guess next year's schedule is for 1 year only because it will have to be redone in 2017 when Coastal enters. For at least that 1 year we will play with 12.

The 2017schedule may be for 1 year also as in 2018 we may be playing with 10 teams.
