Why do you say that? They get an inexpensive home game with a good G5 team for their strength of schedule, we get money and a game in the State of Georgia.

The weekly CFP polls are proving that losses, iffy wins and a lack of good OOC opponents only hurt non-SEC teams. Now that GS has the scholarships and momentum to possibly hang - and costs a ton more to boot - it doesn't help UGA much. If they were 10-0 or 9-1 heading into this game, a win over us wouldn't be any more or less help than a win over Kennesaw State.

Why take a chance with anyone who even has the look of a possibly dangerous team?

Georgia doesn't want to chance losing to us and I think that's worth the extra money to them. We can get a better paycheck while having a better fan experience by going elsewhere. I'm pretty confident that we will bring more people to Auburn and Clemson than we will to Athens this weekend. When we go to Clemson you will be exhausted from responding to people thanking you for coming. No barking.

I'm sorry for two reasons: 1. That your program is going through this season. 2. I will fully admit that in this case Southern fans, myself included, destroyed this thread.

I don't know if I would...think I would prefer 3 more conference titles...four more bowl wins...

Fritz isn't going to be at GS more than three more years at the current pace. I think you'd trade a UGA win for two years of any coach.

That's probably true, it's actually probably true at all the top G5 schools...if App has another good year then you'll start to hear about Satterfield. Might have been this year if last season had gone better from the start.

ULM @ TXST is going to be an embarrassing display on TV tonight.

I think I speak for both fanbases in apologizing in advance for making the league look bad.

I won't apologize for it . . . .

Our University put us in this position . . . And if our Big Money Donors (endorsement of Fran), Larry, and the School Prez. Have their way. . . . Look for more of the same next year . . . .

I've seen nothing that indicates significant change is on the way . . . That's not the fault of the fan base . .

I think that both teams will play inspired football tonight. I'm thinking we'll actually see a better product on the field for both teams than we would have had both teams not just canned their coaches.

If I had to I'd trade Fritz for a win over UGA.

Add in a split conference championship, win over USF in the cure bowl and i'm sold.

My original comment was tongue-in-cheek, but:

Our fans suck pretty bad too, maybe not as much as the AD/Administration but still.

This game last year we were 5-5 with bowl eligibility on the line and bowl reps in the stadium and nobody showed up.

It's gonna take more than the 20 of us on Bobcatfans to be able to put any pressure on the administration or compete with someone like the big donor you mentioned.
