Major Canady out for the year
I don't think it's been made official yet, but I was told at the game yesterday by an inside source that he needs knee surgery again and is once again done for the year. It never ends for Drexel when it comes to the injury bug.

RE: Major Canady out for the year
I heard that as well and that he is applying for a redshirt medical waiver to get his 3 years back.

I also heard Ahmad Fields has an inflamed Knee and will miss Saturday game and is questionable for Alaska. From what I read from WebMD this is a minor injury and shouldn't keep him out long. He hurt his knee on 11/13 at the St Joes game I would be surprised if he isn't ready by 11/27. The first game is UNC Asheville and they are 0-3 so our Dragons should win pretty handedly on 11/26. If not he will def be ready for the LaSalle game.

Thoughts? Winning OOC is nice but we all know that you need to win the conference to make the Tourney

RE: Major Canady out for the year
No such thing as guaranteed wins in any game for this team. I totally forgot that Fields was even on the team, since he wasn't playing on Wednesday. Hopefully it's nothing serious, but every injury seems to be serious with this team lately.

Out of conference games are important for the conference as a whole, and the rest of the CAA outside of Drexel has been doing well lately. But based on the way that both the NCAA and NIT committees have been so biased toward the Power 5 over the last couple of years, teams in the CAA don't stand a chance anymore anyway.

I look at the season broken down in 4 pieces...
1. Perform well in OOC. But if you screw up there, you just give up any shot at an NCAA or NIT at large.
2. CAA Season (Part 1)- Goal is to finish 1st to at least get an NIT automatic bid
3. CAA Season (Part 2) - If you're not going to finish 1st, just avoid finishing 7-10th
4. CAA Tournament
