Just received the weekly "Letter from Laycock" in my email. In the letter it mentions Senior Day and being Military Appreciation Day. It also states;

"Additionally, we will be honoring the men and
women serving our country in the armed services with our
Military Appreciation Day. Pay close attention for the subtle
salute we’ll be making on our helmets!"

Anyone have any insight?

Thinking about it, and knowing that we are actually responsible with our money (unlike another FCS school in the state who trots out a few different color helmets and a few different uni combos), my guess would be one of 3 "subtle" things:

1) Having American Flag colors instead of the green in the "Tribe" script logo
2) The "1693" on the front changed to something honoring the military
3) Logos of various branches of service on the back of the helmets (like the NFL is doing)

Personally, I think that could look really cool; but I don't know if that's considered subtle. I hope it's something more than just a sticker on the back of the helmet or something.

Jay said during the basketball pregame show that we would have the stars and stripes on our helmets. I think that Chesapeake Bank paid for it,
