RE: CAA Basketball
Drexel (0-4) lost by 19 to UNC-Asheville (2-3) waaaaay up there in Alaska. Thousands and thousands of dollars to travel over 4,000 miles to go 0'fer for the first four of five games of an early-season tournament. And some of you were upset because our shoes didn't match on picture day.

I'm sure Bruiser Flint has gone through a couple pairs of shoes from all the stomping he's been doing. Couldn't happen to a nicer guy.

By the way, the mismatched shoes in the team photo still bother me. Otherwise, I can't complain about too much else.

How long a leash does Bruiser have in Drexel? Personally, I've always felt he's a pretty awful game coach. We've beaten them a few times with less talent because his gameplans were bad. If his recruiting falls off, well, what's left?

IMHO, they make a move after the season regardless. That said, I don't think the poor OOC showing will damn him. If the losing continues into a poor CAA record and they are out of the hunt by January, you may see an interim assistant at the helm.

Re: RE: CAA Basketball
He signed a multi-year contract extension after he was named CAA COY in 2012. Just a guess but it was probably a five year deal at $300,000+/yr. His original deal 14 years ago was 200k per. Drexel fired his predecessor after only 2 seasons because he failed to lead the Dragons to the NCAAT. Imagine that.

RE: CAA Basketball
I wonder if Drexel has the money to fire him or would just rather ride it out.

I absolutely love Bruiser but he is just an awful game day coach. I've heard he's a great recruiter/off-season guy though

Charleston trailing W. Carolina by 7 with 12:00 to go.

NU came in as a 16.5 point underdog. Hope they pull it off.

Good night for the CAA. Drexel can really help later against D2 Alaska Anchorage.

Not a good start for the dragons. They spotted AA 10 points to start the game.

RE: CAA Basketball
The League is 29-19 at this point. All teams at .500 or better, except Drexel. Good start.

I guess the bright side is although it's bad PR if they lose, it wouldn't factor in to RPI.
