Does the conference football schedule for next season (2016) not come out until Feb-Mar next year or do we know who rotates off and who rotates on already? I've seen some posters post who will be on the schedule for their respective teams and wasn't sure if that was just a guess or if this was common knowledge already.

Also, I've heard the conference schedules rotate every two years, is this accurate? So in essence whoever is on our conference slate next year will be present on the schedule for 2017 as well....just wondering.

I think chiefsfan knows the low down on this. however, whatever the conference decides to do with Idaho and NMSU after their contract is up will shake up everything.

Conference scheadule would have to change for 2017 due to Coastal being added to the conference.

I think APP and Idaho roll off stAte's schedule, and Georgia Southern and Troy replace them.

The roll offs have been determined, but as was said everything is up in the air until they decide about Idaho and NMSU. SBC schedules have always come out March 1

Idaho and NMSU will be in the conference for 2016 and 2017 no matter what the vote is this offseason so I'm not sure how that decision impacts the 2016 schedule.

I assume GaSouthern and Idaho will be on the Cajun's schedule next year and App and NMSU will roll off.

I understand teams rise and teams fall all the time, but to me it seems stupid to have teams who will probably be conference front-runners for the next few years not play each other.

Eleven is such a crappy number to be at.

Texas St will play App St and Troy. I know Georgia Southern is off but not sure about the other. I hope it's not USA but I'm betting it is.

Yea would also like to see who rolls off our schedule as well. App st and USA should be on.

So for the next two years App will have the asterisk?

It doesn't work that way. It picks two random teams to roll off your schedules. Playing App doesn't mean you miss Georgia Southern, and vice versa. Same with NMSU and Idaho.

You could miss Georgia State and Troy for all we know.

This is just for next year. In 2017 we are in divisions so we will certainly play the 5 division teams and 3 from the other side. All that is to be decided is what 3 from the other division will we play-- 3 rotating or 2 rotating and 1 permanent.

In 2018 if Idaho and NMSU are gone then you have 10 teams and a decision will be made on whether to play a complete round robin--- 9 conference games.

Our AD has said that we will not play Texas St. or Idaho next year. We finally get to play Ark. St. and Louisiana.

Sadly no. My understanding is that everyone has a protected game.
