Basketball RPI Game -- you buying or selling?
It's year 3 under new coach Matthew Graves and Jag fans are cautiously optimistic that we will start turning the corner soon, either this year or next. USA will be tested to open the season, with games 2 and 3 coming against good NC State and LSU teams. With that said, I was wondering how our conference will fare this year. How do you think your team will finish in regards to the RPI? Using last year's RPI, are you buying, selling, or holding even?

54 - Georgia State
111 - Georiga Southern
123 - Louisiana Lafayette
125 - Louisiana Monroe
131 - Coastal Carolina
180 - Texas Arlington
233 - Texas State
243 - Appalachian State
271 - South Alabama
276 - Little Rock
278 - Arkansas State
312 - Troy

For me I'm buying South Alabama, Texas State, Louisiana Lafayette, Little Rock, and Appalachian State
I'm selling Georgia State, Georgia Southern, Louisiana Monroe, and Texas Arlington
I'm holding on Coastal Carolina, Troy, and Arkansas State

I'm tempted to buy Troy... But idk

For GSU, i'm holding even. Most people think we lose stock with Harrow and RJ leaving, but we're so much deeper this season, i think we could potentially do better than we did even last season, especially considering we only lost one game when Harrow didn't play (the last one we played, against Xavier).

Haha...I'd sell our RPI. Unless we beat Oregon, Missouri, Baylor, or North Dakota State, our best OOC win will come out of the Southland or OVC.

I agree, I know nothing about Troy basketball, but they pretty much have nowhere to go but up.

I'm holding on GS at 111 as a long term play. If our talented youngsters all grow up quickly together we will surprise some folks and pay dividends this year, even if not we will be near the top of the conference for 2016-2017 and 2017-18. Then I'll sell right before our coach gets hired away.

I'm tempted to hold even on us too. We saw how Ware was able to step up in the CCG when our big two were ineffective. One big question, I think, is how much of an impact RJ had that wasn't reflected in his numbers, by taking pressure off of the rest of the offense. Overall, though, I honestly think we underperformed in conference play, so all things considered, we could be in a similar spot this year.

As for the others...well, no clue, really. I'll sell the Eagles at 111, but I don't think they'll drop like some seem to project. I'll buy Troy because 312 is awfully low.

UTA will missLonnie McClanahan, a big part of last years offense, while Johnny Hill and Drew Charles were injured and the team tanked the last few games. Hill transferred, that certainly will hurt, but a big part of last years team were freshman and they come back, along with Charles. UTA had some great hustle interior players. I'm confident in a hold at worst.

EDIT: Barring injury, of course

I like the depth of our Panther squad, but I don't know if I can say that we have the same season as we did last year. I hope they prove me wrong

I'm buying ULM. Lose only one starter, gained tons of experience and practice in the CBI, and added some great new recruits, including one with offers from Arkansas and Kansas St. Look for ULM to make a run for the SBC title.
