RE: Around the FCS
Finally Coastal loses. They'd been coasting all season and really are nowhere near what they were last season

RE: Around the FCS
Will be very interesting to see how the postseason field begins to shake out, lots of teams still alive.
In the CAA, with yesterday's action, 6 teams are still alive, Richmond, W&M, JMU, Towson, Villanova and New Hampshire.
Villanova and New Hampshire both need to run the table and each has Richmond left.(Nova also has JMU as well). Towson has us, but also Maine and Rhode Island(and they need to win 2 of 3).

RE: Around the FCS
Most projections still have the Big Sky and MVFC getting 4-5 at large bids. I can see 5 total of MVFC, but I don't see it for the Big Sky. Portland St. EWU and Southern Utah look good right now, but Montana and Montana St. should be out already and there are more games to further weaken their at large pool, they probably only get 3. in the MVFC, Illnois St. looks the best, and NDST will definitely get in, but I don't think they get 4 more teams in(maybe not 3). Northern Iowa is probably really good, but if they go 6-5, I don't think they get in. South Dakota St needs only 1 win to make it, but that is only 3 bids. They have 5 teams at 4-4 overall. Not all of those are getting to 7-4. So, bottom line is, it certainly looks like if you go 7-4, you are in this year. So, Towson, NH, Villanova, and many others are still alive. JMU, under this theory gets in even if they lose their last 2 games(which I do not expect to happen anyway). Given the weak bubble, Colgate and Fordham are both locks along with CSU and Coastal.

Here some playoff projections via nobowls.com. As you can see, it is a weak bubble right now. Anyone going 7-4 will get significant consideration.

Up to #10 in AGS, with Richmond at 5 and JMU at 13.
Coaches have us at 7 (Richmond), 12, 14 (JMU)
STATS has us at 5, 12, and 14
Massey composite with 32 rankings/ratings has teams at 9 (Richmond), 10, 11 (JMU). Does not include any of the above polls yet - probably in tomorrow. http://www.masseyratings.com/cf/compare1aa.htm

Big game for Towson this weekend up at Maine. I'll forecast a win for us when they come to Zable, but if they beat Maine and Rhody I think 7-4 gets them in the playoffs. Elon is the only head-scratcher, but the Phoenix seem to be a team doing better this year than expected.

Harvard #1 and Dartmouth #4. Well, there's your proof that letting a collection of computer models pick your rankings is a complete waste of time.

Yeah - the Ivies mess things up because they only play themselves, the Patriots not named Fordham (who lost this weekend) and a few CAA teams (none of the ones who have played well this year).
For the most part, take the Ivies out and the rest of the Composite looks decent. Even 4-4 UNI is fine for me at 14 as their losses are @Iowa State, @NDSU by 3, @Illinois State by 8, and Western Illinois by 5 (not the best but still top 25 ranked by AGS) Their wins are against #8 (AGS) Eastern Washington, Cal Poly, #9 (AGS) SDSU, and South Dakota (who has a win @NDSU).

Northern Iowa has the resume to be the 6 win at large if there ends up being one. If the committee sticks to the 7 win minimum, they might not get 14 teams for at large which gives many teams like NH, Villanova and Towson hope.
