Our win over them looks even better. FCS or not

Is it too late to trade CCU in for Charleston Southern? Had much rather travel to Charleston than to Conway, even if it has Myrtle Beach nearby.

No. CSU is private, tiny, and poor. It also has some issues as well. They're in the Big South, where they belong.

Charleston Southern, isn't in Charleston. It's actually in North Charleston, SC. Which is a BIG difference from Charleston. Essentially the same distance as Conway from Myrtle Beach, is North Charleston from Charleston. North Charleston is a pretty rough area too, might want to stock up on some kevlar before visiting. Also there are high school stadiums in Vermont bigger then CSU's. Listed capacity is 4,000 and I think that is generous.

Don't waste you energy. I KNOW Charleston well, having lived on Meeting Street for 9 years. I know where North Charleston, Conway, Myrtle Beach and North Myrtle Beach are. I am against both CSU and CCU joining the SBC. I just don't think Coastal will be a good add. I also realize that CCU has been invited and has accepted. Unfortunately, they are entering the league because they (SBC) are desperate for an addition to the East Division.

Its done. CCU wasn't my first, or even second pick.

But my concerns about CCU aren't about facilities or program. Its about fan support. CCU runs a good athletic department.

Given some of the other choices...I'm okay with CCU.

Personally, I'm THRILLED to have Coastal Carolina aboard.

As for North Charleston, however; I lived there for 6 months in 2014 while going through some USAF training and had the time of my life there and in the surrounding areas (i.e., Summerville, Goose Creek, etc.). Never met one bad person there -- in fact, the Charleston area has the nicest people I've ever met anywhere and I've just got a few more states to cross off of my "been there, done that" list.

At no point ever did I feel unsafe in any area of North Charleston and I'd love to move to the outskirts someday. Great pool players EVERYWHERE and plenty of gorgeous women, too.

The only place I've ever been to where, within 10 minutes, I could walk up to a packed bar as an out of town stranger and know the names and occupations of the next 3-4 people to my left and right. I prefer N.C. to Charleston 10-1.

We bring a little to the conference. Our football is a work in progress, but rest assured it's on it's way up.

This guy probably won't be impressed if he had to ask.

Those are great accomplishments but if you asked the average fan who S. Alabama was they would have a hard time telling you. That would be true of just about all SB teams. Now are we back to counting past accomplishments or just not the FCS/1AA ones, lol. I kid.. I always knew about USA baseball. How many College World Series have you guys made it to?

Could all the other SB teams post their past achievements as well. I think that would be fun to see how we all stack up against each other.

No CWS, but we have been ranked #1 more than once.

FCS is only for football. All other sports are on the same level as any other DI school as long as the football team has been FCS or FBS. Man I don't know if I want to take on a task like that for TXST. I don't think there's one spot to go to to find all of them easily.
