Vad, you may not realize this, but this is the only thread in the history of JMU message boards where everyone is on the same page. That is quite a feat in itself. Anyone want to argue about that? Didn't think so!

Coach Withers should print this thread out and make it part of his recruiting manual. Show every recruit what kind of kid we want at JMU.

I don't know how you stay so classy under such circumstances. Better man than me. I'm sure Vad is extremely disappointed as we all are about the situation. I'm a lot more of a sore loser. I'm very disappointed that we won't get to see him out there again in a JMU uniform but it is such a testament to the young man's character to handle it in this fashion. It shows that you can be an ultimate competitor and conduct yourself with a great deal of class simultaneously.

RE: Thank you JMU Nation!
Lavaedeay Montique Lee, best wishes for a speedy and complete recovery. Your accomplishments and impact off the field far outshine those on the field, and that is saying alot. Keep leveraging your leadership and charisma for the power of good as it is inspirational to everyone you come in contact with daily.
It has been fun for all of us fanatics to watch you develop on the field from a struggling QB in the first half of 2014 to one of the best FCS QB's in the nation. It was an amazing transformation. All of that was fun, entertainment, a good diversion, yet fleeting.
The things you've done off the field are far more important and lasting. Wins on the football field don't provide much other than temporary joy. Wins in life are the real things we should strive for and you set a great example. Keep up the good fight wherever life takes you after college football. You have made everyone in the JMU nation proud.

Colossians 3:23 Whatever you do, do it with all of your heart as if working for God and not for men.

Not so fast, I've now lost a ton of respect for Vad for lowering himself to our level and posting here.

Just kidding, class move, and yet another way this young man has made so many of us so proud to be Dukes. Thanks and best wishes.

Vad,

I teared up to hear you describe how difficult your time was at Ga Tech and that you would feel alone and far from home. I hope by now you know that JMU will always be a home for you and by your faith you know - you are never alone.

RE: Thank you JMU Nation!
Just saw this.

Thank you Vad for everything you've done. It is so nice to have a positive role model that my own children, and the high school football kids I coach, can look up to! You've done more for JMU in these two seasons than any of us could have hoped for! I have seen you play in person 3 times. My favorite was being able to only be about 30 feet away @ Stony Brook last year, I came away so impressed at your talent, but more importantly your leadership.

I put a comment of the JMU football Facebook page, but in case you don't read that: I wish you a speedy recovery from the foot injury! I also hope you get a shot at the next level! But even if the NFL does not end up being in your future, you are going to be a great success in life!

Vad, thanks for everything you have done and will do for JMU. I couldn't be more proud to have you as one of our own. You have been nothing but classy on and off the field since you've been here.
I feel bad that you weren't able to finish the season that you were putting together, and I don't mean that coming as a fan. You deserved that much, for all the effort and dedication you've put in to not only make yourself better, but this program. I hope that football will come calling if that is the path you aspire to follow. And if not, I'm sure whatever you choose you will be successful.
Wish you the best, Vad.... I really do.
