It's a forgivable mistake. The northern tip of Rockingham County is latitudinally equal to the city of Alexandria, after all. The idea that "northern Virginia" only means Fairfax and 1 or 2 other counties isn't universally understood outside Fairfax and 1 or 2 other counties.

I would also record the 6:00 sports center. Lindsay Czarniak has tweeted that she will mention the game

Huh? Agreed that it is a forgivable mistake but I think the whole Mid-Atlantic area of the US knows what people refer to as Northern Va. Not a big deal but I would sure prefer Shenandoah Valley.

I've been living in various parts of VA for 15 years now. Everyone in the state understands that Northern VA is a series of 3 counties and the cities they border right near DC. Outside of VA, everyone says northern VA referring to the northern half of any part of the state of VA.
It is annoying though.

I saw some old guys in that shot. I didn't like the "We Beat Tech" sign....that's old news and shows an inferiority complex. Others may strongly disagree.
