as much slinging as both sides want to do about the other's fans, most want to lump the forum crowd in with the actual game day experience.
Both sides will have their drunk jackasses. I've had trips that were uneventful, and trips that were eventful to boone.
I walked through the middle of an app tailgate to meet a buddy of mine that transferred from southern to app (blasphemy I know), and didn't have any problems.
Another time I had to tell a drunk ******* to shut up walking out of the stadium because he was flying off the handle cursing at me while a dad had his son on his shoulders right in front of me.

NC Eagle, you still in Charlotte and are you making it up tomorrow?
I witnessed a drunk App student at the NC State game in 2008 (i think) yelling and cussing at the NC State band as they walked by. An App fan in his 60's or 70's went up to him, sat him down, and lectured him about how he was making his school look bad and that he needed to show more class. The kid didn't even stand up the rest of the game. Of course, we didn't have a lot to stand up for, but I was still impressed.

That's right, I remember wondering who the skinny kid was that came in late into the game and thinking, "this guy want last a whole game before he is snapped".
