CAA Week 7
Thought we should probably bump this along with the schedule.

Tribe wins this weeks marquee game, solid win over UNH, their second loss. They probably can't afford another.

JMU and UR both roll in road games against the bottom teams, Elon and URI.

Villanova blowing out UAlbany. That puts them at 2-1 and still very much in the mix.

Yale leads late against Maine.

SBU up 7-0 early on Towson.

RE: CAA Week 7
Sorry for the post under week 6.

The Tribe should be moving up a little in the rankings. Liberty likely to fall out. New Hampshire may fall out which Coach Laycock seemed to enjoy as a possibility. NDSU loses at home and Northern Iowa is way down.

We just need to keep winning and the rankings will take care of themselves.

RE: CAA Week 7
Slightly off topic, but I think we're currently 4th in the CAA in listed attendance, though I'd bet we're third if you only count butts in the stadium. UNH claims to have gotten almost 17k for their homecoming game, but their stadium only seats 6,500...

JMU and Delaware are the top 2, unsurprisingly.

10,180 today at Zable, really impressive considering the noon start and week prior to Homecoming.

Easily the top CAA crowd today I think (not sure about SBU playing now).

You are correct about the UNH homecoming splurge. Aside from that, only JMU and Delaware bring in higher gates.

I would expect we should be near capacity the next two games, HC with Hampton followed by JMU.

CAA Week 7
UNH requires a ticket to enter the tailgate area, so on homecoming their number swells. It will come back down to earth as the season goes on.

We should be heavy favorites in our remaining games except for JMU and/or UR.

If we don't make the playoffs because of the UD game...

10,000 plus attendence is hard to believe - I thought the East stands had lots of empty seats - the Athletic Dept did offer four free tickets to every season ticket holder for this game so perhaps the freebies were counted in the attendence number.

The other two finals from today:

Yale 21 Maine 10 (Ivy goes 4-0 on the season vs CAA)
Towson gives Stony Brook 3rd consecutive CAA loss, 21-14

So at the top:
JMU 4-0
UR. 3-0
WM. 3-1
Villanova 2-1
Maine 2-1

All others at least two losses in CAA play.

So Stony Brook is no longer a "signature win" for us, I guess?

College Gameday is coming to JMU next weekend for their game against Richmond. I am 90% jealous and 10% happy for the conference.
