RE: New tribeathletics.com
I know the JMU guys are upset about Stretch because it always breaks up. We never had that issue. Hope it doesn't happen to us too.

Stretch was constantly buffering when I used it through caasports website as recently as this year. (dont get Comcast Sportsnet). Neulion was pretty flawless last year.

I'm out of town, but the stretch buffering today was pretty bad. It'll be good to see how it is when I'm home.

Was better for me than usual, but the 4th quarter was unwatchable with buffering issues. Thankfully the game was essentially over at that point.

This has nothing to do with my internet, etc. I regularly stream from numerous sources.

I'm very wary of stretch. Have heard nothing but complaints from everyone else using it.

RE: New tribeathletics.com
Opening it up presents you with a melange of ads right in the face quickly followed by rapidly changing screens. On;y way to really approach it is to go to sports at top of page, key on the sport you want and go to the archive section where you can sanely read articles.

Tribe video plagued by frequent buffering.

Too much flash, too little readable stability.

I like the new design and layout of the page, but am not looking forward to having to stream an event.

RE: New tribeathletics.com
I usually receive an e-mail from Tribe Athletics after a football game with a brief summary of what happened and who did what . When we win I forward the story to friends out of state. So far, I don't think I have received anything about the UNH game. Did anyone else experience this? Could this be tied in with the updates to the Tribe Athletics web site???????????????

I've received ones for other sports but not the football game. Makes me think it's not related to the new website.

Used the new site today and it was easy to use and without that banner that would drop down and hinder whatever I tried to read . So far thumbs up

RE: New tribeathletics.com
I bought a ticket for homecoming and chose the "print at home" option, and when I click the link to pull up the ticket to print, it gives me a 404 "page not found" error

... I have the email confirmation and the website does think I bought the ticket, the link just doesn't take me to do.

Anyone else having issues on tickets?

I will call tomorrow.

Mine are will call. Perfectly safe option, especially with the 3:30 kickoff. Still, frustrating not to be able to print I guess. I am the type that would print them and then forget them.

(10-15-2015 01:02 PM)hktribefan Wrote:  One thing I've noticed, and this is SUPER nitpicky, is an issue with the menus that drop down when you rollover the categories at the top. First off, I hate drop down menus because you have to "follow" the menu down and over; if you follow a "straight line" that goes diagonally from the header to the menu it will close the menu. I much prefer ones where you click and the menu stays open until you click your selection, or click outside the box to return to the main screen. But back to my point, take the "Tickets" one; when you drop down, the top link is to "Buy Tickets" and presumable the link in that spot for any of the drop down menus is one of the most frequently used. When you move the mouse down and then to the left, almost as soon as you get to the words "Buy Tickets" the box goes away. If you move down one more to "Ticket Information" then slide over and up, you can click "Buy Tickets" but if you move more than halfway up the text, the box disappears. This is the same for all of the tabs, and my guess is that the "Tribe" logo image box is "over" the pop up box so when you mouse over that area the system thinks you have moused away from the menu. Again, I realize this is a super nitpicky thing, and I may have described it poorly, but the "Buy Tickets" is one of the more important links on the site and this should be fixed ASAP.

You can email Ryan Riddle (rjriddle@wm.edu) or Spencer Milne (shmiln@wm.edu) on things like that as well. They are pretty responsive on getting issues like these resolved.

Thanks. Looks like it's been fixed, but good to know for the future.

Again, down with Stretch! Unwatchable and a serious problem. Why does the league and the AD pay for a service that doesnt work?

They must have got a fantastic deal for the league to switch to stretch. But, Delaware was still on Neulion, so it must be a school by school thing. I hope they wise up and go back once this contract is up.

I watched the game on stretch tonight, no problems. I was concerned when we switched over after hearing problems others had, but it's worked really well for me this year.

I tried two different computers, my ipad and iphone. On wifi and also Verizon data stream. Smallest screen to biggest screen. Without simul-twitter sidebar and with Nothing helped. Neulion worked flawlessly almost every time. Stretch works sporadically and often not at all, as occurred tonight.

I stream Netflix and ESPN on all of these devices all the time without issue.
