App @ ULM
Many have said App hasn't beaten anyone yet. It will be interesting to see how Apps defense does against an improving ULM offense. It seems they've been able to move the ball against good G5 programs.

Some may call this a trap game being before GS, but I think the coaches have this team focused.

Last year this game came down to the last drive, App will need to win the trenches again and get pressure on their QB. This will be the first game App won't have a couple thousand fans in attendance this season.

RE: App @ ULM
I expect a bit more struggle on offense but the defense should continue to roll.

31-9 App.

Even if we win that just means ULM is a nobody team and we haven't proved anything.

I get your sarcasm, but I do think that the criticisms regarding our overall crappy schedule is warranted up to this point. Roll on ULM and then we can talk about how legit we are.

Agreed. ULM isn't going to win but y'all have had an easy schedule to this point. App St is pretty good this year but how good is yet to be known yet. I'm guessing very good.

ULM hasn't done anything to really impress yet, so I'm not so sure this would be a "quality win" if we were to beat them. I am, however, extremely worried about this one.

RE: App @ ULM
ULM has played two ranked teams and two G5 teams with winning records. They certainly have played a MUCH tougher schedule than we have. Its hard to complain about how we have played to this point, but we haven't really been tested yet in our 4 wins. I believe that ULM has the potential to really put us to the test, especially at home.

ULM has played the hardest schedule of any SBC team and IMO has the toughest conference slate as well.

We definitely have the talent to play and possibly beat App, but we make way to many mistakes and don't know how to win. We'll shoot ourselves in the foot when it matters, so don't be concerned.

I understand injuries can hurt a team. App lost our starting CB before the season began, and then two backup DEs since then, everyone at this point of the season has lost a player or two.

I think he meant "lost" in terms of the player who passed away, not lost to injury which every team deals with as you pointed out.

My post wasn't to say our schedule was tough but more a comment on the equally mediocre GS schedule fans who hate on ours

Losing a player or two would be divine. Try 10-12.03-banghead

I pulled hard for you guys last night, and you're right about shooting yourselves in the foot-at least last night. I really believe you outplayed Tulsa for most of the night.
I do believe Saturday's game will be a good one. I also believe App is a good football team. I'm lookin' forward to it... Wish I could be there.

RE: App @ ULM
Screw the GS game talk, let's focus on ULM.

Looking at the stats it will be interesting to see how App's defense plays against a more balanced offense with a better offensive line.

Also based upon the stats App's 3rd down efficiency isn't very good and this is the best defense we've faced outside of Clemson.

Be prepared for a lot of penalties in this game as App is 86th and ULM is 126th in the nation, yikes.

I think you'll see this line come down as we edge closer to the game, opened at App -11.5, no over/under yet. I'd set the over/under at 42.

Finally, I thought that you guys might have forgot about your game this week.04-cheers

Line actually started at 8.5 and has moved to 11.5. Over/under will likely be set higher (App is averaging 35 points and ULM is giving up 34. Subtract 11.5 from 34.5 and add to 34.5 for a total of 57.5), but I see the actual total coming in lower. I'd say around 50 (Maybe a 35-14 type game), although I'm not so sure this is the same ULM defense of the last couple years. They have allowed an average of 42.5 points to their 2 G5 opponents.

Do you know how stupid that sounds? We're legit if we make a 1-4 team a 1-5 team? We've been doing that all year and everyone thinks we haven't played anyone.
