RE: Akron Game
Roback throws another interception. Questionable decision, as all his INTs are.

Wonder how far we are from having Reggie back.

Like last year, EMU has an NFL caliber RB who is being utterly wasted--as if they grow on trees.

Might have two. Shaq Vann looks great anytime we give him the ball, so of course he has no carries today.

Akron on pace for 80 points. Didn't think it could get worse than the Army game, but it truly can.

It's a shame this is how the game has ended up. Akron's not awful, but I really wanted us to be in this one. Not gonna get any easier with two road games at Toledo and NIU coming up.

Vann is damn good too. We have an OC who is outsmarting himself.

Did you have to mention Toledo?

9 carries for 39 yards. Let's not get carried away.

For what it's worth, Miami and UMass are both taking beatings today as well. I guess that's who we'll have to hang with in conference play.

Those are probably our last two chances at wins. And UMass brings back a bunch of guys that torched us last year.

Unless our defense improves, we won't win another game. Our offense is solid, but not good enough to score on every possession. That's basically what they have to do right now to be competitive.

Over 4 yards a pop, moving the chains and controlling the clock. Are you watching the game or just looking at numbers?

RE: Akron Game
In all likelihood, Akron will score more against us than LSU. I'm not sure what that means. Even 3rd-team LSU players are more talented than what we face in the MAC.

I disagree. MAC players are not a bunch of scrubs. There is a fine line. 3rd team LSU players are not better than good MAC starters.

Fair enough, but you understand my point. LSU's offense only scored 37 on us and we follow that up with this s**t.

It's painful. Really, I'm hurting.

I think LSU treated the game as a 'bye'.

Akron came to play. It is a conference game.

Yes, we will need to beat MIA or UMass to get 2 wins.

Last year we had one FCS and one FBS win. This year it could be two FBS wins, one OOC and one conference.

Next three weeks will NOT be fun (TOL, NIU, and WMU).

I was kind of fearing a letdown. They were sky high for LSU.

It is damn near impossible to be 'sky high' two weeks in a row.

EMU really needed a bye this week.

That statement has no basis in fact. Were it not for Roback's poor decision on that INT, the only problem EMU has is no defense. The OC's creativity is the only thing keeping us in this game.
