Our Traditions Uniforms last year were suppose to say GATA on the sleeve but I think the NCAA said we couldn't wear them because we couldn't use anything that isn't the school mascot, name, or something previously approved. Obviously, an 'obscene' phrase like GATA wouldn't be approved by the NCAA.

I'm fine with GS wearing the white helmets with their all-white jerseys in Boone. Stormmtroopers can't hit anything.

Something about the USG system owning the rights and blah blah blah (Southern fans help me finish this sentence). But unfortunately I don't think we can use it based on copyright? Or we can't use it without paying USG...idk

All of our logos are owned by the BoR.

There is a GATA sticker on the front of the helmet

I like the helmet, a lot.

And it's also fun to watch other Southern fans flip the hell out every time we have an alternate uniform.

Gotta say that I'll be devastated if App doesn't go all black if we go all white. I know that 'Black Saturday' is scheduled for later, but you should be making an exception for your best frienamies.

If they don't wear all black we will have to hang about 50 on them to remind them why they hate us so much and pull out all the stops when we come to town.

Not much has been mentioned out of Boone about the uniforms for 10/22. Usually silence means they are keeping a secret.

Was really hoping we could have all white vs all black matchup next Thursday.

Ahem, all black uniforms for App and all white uniforms for GS.

Yes, the worst. It's a poorly designed logo. It's not great for a baseball team, either, though it fits in with "traditional" baseball logos (most of which are poorly designed).

GaSo has a great uniform tradition. Why the hell they'd change that, even for one game, for that awful logo is beyond me.

My thinking exactly. They have one of the best looking uniforms/helmets in college football. Why do they want to wear something tacky ?
