This is Breida's game. See daylight. Run as fast as you can to get to it and hope you pull off a video game like move and glitch through them. (Which seems like he is capable of doing). In terms of NFL prospects, I feel like he would be a great slot receiver if he has some stop and go moves.
Still, the best back (or at least the fastest) playing in the most runningback friendly offense in the conference.

That's a bit of a stretch.
I agree....Breida is great but that's wishful thinking.
Let me help him out. He is the best speed back in the country. Yes Fournette, Chub will run you over but none of them will beat breida in space. Kid is the fastest dude on the field week in and week out.

First in the nation in yards per carry, one TD out of first plays for TDs, 6th in total yards. I really thought Breida's numbers would drop off a good bit this year but it doesn't seem like they will at this rate.
One bright spot in an otherwise (so far) bad SBC football season.
Kudos. Kid is talented.
Hmm...this looks like a bright spot:
#AppState No. 5 in the nation in defensive yards/game at 246. Allowing 72.7 rushing (No. 6); 173.7 passing (No. 30); 13.7 points (No. 14) Brant Wilkerson-New (@BrantWSJ)

In his or her defense, they did say one, instead of the only. Hopefully both App and Georgia Southern continue their winning ways into the Thursday night match-up. I expect a Halloween - Wofford or the semi-final against Richmond type of crowd that night. Loudest I've ever heard KBS.

Agreed. Chubb and Henry aren't too bad. Brides is a very good back though. I'll let you know more after this weekend, since we have played both Chubb and Henry.
Y'all held him down pretty good last November so we'll see.
The thing about Breida is that he does his damage in chunks. He'll have 5-7 carries of 3 yards then go 80. ULM didn't let him get the big play last year so his numbers were low.
You may see that as a good thing, the NFL will not. He's a great back, especially for your system, but he isn't a back that can get 75% of the carries for a season.
I can see him as a Darren Sproles type RB in the NFL. He'll never be a workhorse like Jamal Charles or Adrian Peterson. He's not big enough.
This. Breida is a good smallish really fast back that can cause lots of issues for defenses, but he's not heavy enough nor powerful enough to contend with the Chubbs and the Henrys...at least not this year. He shoots thru holes and then does the rest by evading with pure speed. Not a back that will get a ton of yards after contact, unlike Chubb and Henry, who both willingly create holes at the expense of 1 or 2 poor defenders.

I'd like to be a homer and agree to this, but I just can't.
He has a lot to prove to be one of the best RB in college football.
We haven't seen enough pass catching, route running, pass protection, and games where he has played against excellent competition. (He and the entire team struggled vs WVU).
I'd like to see how he performs vs the upper tier SBC opponents (mostly road games) this season.
As for the Heisman talk, I'm encouraged that he is mentioned. With teams keying on Breida and not noticing Ramsey and Fields, they will both be having some big games this season. Ellison also should run crazy

Probably not, I agree. He is the best back around at 190 and extremely fast. He is also much stronger than people think. He is a powerful back for his size. Our system hurts him as far as NFL goes and so will his size. Now if he were doing this at Oklahoma or Georgia he would have plenty of opportunities in the NFL. To bad the way that goes but its just the way it is.

He's done well catching passes out of the backfield. His wheel route against GT last year was beautiful. Late last year catching passes in the flats was a great safety valve to have as well.

I bet he's closer to 200 than 190 now. He's put on a lot of weight since last year.

Sure, he's not as big as AP. But have you ever seen Jamaal or just hear about him and see his stats? Jamaal is not a big guy. Breida is a whole lot similar to JC than you think. Their style is based on vision, speed, and agility and not necessarily tremendous power. Not saying he's any where as good as Charles, but I'd say his running style is closer to his than a Sproles type.

The chance in the NFL won't come simply because he isn't at Oklahoma or Georgia. It will be slim because the NFL has devalued running backs as is, Breida will more than likely been seen as a track speed guy, and unless he can contribute in the punt return game, and as a gunner on special teams he more than likely will be on the outside looking in. That's how someone like him get's his foot in the door in the NFL.
The Panthers, lots of times, will choose special team's aces over someone who is better at the actual position on offense or defense that they play.

Thats what I said. If he were doing this at Oklahoma or Georgia he would have more opportunity. I think Cadillac Williams from Auburn was barely 200 lbs. Devalued RB's in the NFL has happened because they realize they can use that money on other positions. It doesnt take a great RB out of college to play well in the NFL anymore because if you have a good OL, an average back is a good back.

Breida will certainly be drafted so he will get his opportunity. If he can put on more good weight then he will move up the draft board.
