Cajuns Release 2016 Baseball Schedule
I know it's a little early, but the Cajuns have a pretty good schedule for their baseball squad next year.

Once Coastal joins next year will the Belt play a 33 game conference slate in baseball?

If you can work out a long weekend, 2017 might be a good time for you to make the trek to Lafayette for baseball. We do a little tailgating, and if everything goes according to our hopes and dreams, there will be a new $11M grandstand in place. It's already one of the best ballparks in the country for game atmosphere, and their plan is to not impact that situation but just add to it. Keeping my fingers crossed.

I doubt it. It will probably be 30 games, with each team having one opponent they "skip" during the regular season.

Coaches have been kind of averse to unbalanced league schedules historically. Remember, prior to the GS/App additions, a 10 team baseball league had 10 series, with each team playing their rival in a 3 game series at each place. A couple years ago, when the Cajuns were #6 in the country, poor ULM played them 7 times.

Not to be too picky, but a couple of years ago the Cajuns were #1 in all three polls for the last couple of weeks of the season although i don't know if that's the year to which you were referring. :-)

Poor ulm? Poor us, try locking up a national seed and having to play somebody with a +200 RPI 7 times...could have costed us a super regional host

Coastal is a major add to the Belt in baseball. It should definitely mean more bids
