CAA week 3
People over on AGS saying Robertson out at least 4 weeks. Their backup QB is more than capable, but likely doesn't have the running ability you had to worry about with Robertson.

I know it is early and that W&M has a horrendous schedule, but I'm feeling good as to how this season is shaping up.

Next 3 games are key. We then would have 4 home and 2 away to finish. Hoping for good news on the injuries.

New poll is out:

Villanova #5, JMU #9, Richmond #18 and NH #21. Tribe and Stony Brook just out in the other receving votes category.

RE: CAA week 3
Villanova might catch a big break with the schedule. They play Penn this Thursday(9/24) and then are off until they play us 10/10. Not sure of Robertson's status, but their bye week(10/3) comes at a great time. Once again, they get a bye before they play us.

Stony Brook plays us and then JMU on the road the next 2 weeks. JMU gets SMU in Dallas this week. So, even though those are 2 tough road games, SBU gets both of them the week after their opponent plays as FBS school.

For our schedule, we will have to earn it. Only Elon looks like an easy game the rest of the year and that one is on the road. I really liked the game plan Saturday and the effort from the team.

Robertson is a great passer, but it's his running that makes him dangerous; teams have to account for that and it affects the pass rush or a blitz. Even if he comes back for the game against us he won't be 100%, and we have some big hitters on our defense...not a good thing for a QB nursing a leg injury.

On our tough schedule, I like it. It will prepare us for the playoffs. After watching the first two games I'm confident there's not a regular season opponent that we can't compete with. Obviously there's no need to get cocky, but we have the talent. Based on the exciting play calling of the UVa game it appears the coaches have confidence in the offense. I'm excited for the season. Best of all, no more bye week to mess with momentum.

Robertson's injury was one of those scary non contact ones. Which is a shame because he may be out for some time.

Saw one of the Nova fans posted on AGS this morning that Robertson's PCL is torn. I have no idea what kind of recovery is involved in that, but I think he's probably out for awhile. Very tough for him, he's a great player and was hurt in what sounds like a freak accident.

I'm shocked we're behind UR but I never put much stock in the Coaches' Poll

RE: CAA week 3
This early a lot is based on last years rankings. We beat a team we were supposed to beat, and lost to a team we were supposed to lose to. Probably week 5 or 6 until the rankings really start to reflect anything.
