Attendance --Week 1 and 2
Thanks for pulling them together. I'd like to see the weekly totals and season average each week.

NMSU really surprised me with their attendance. Credit to them for really making a big effort. The one that surprises me in a negative way is South Alabama

We played FCS Weber St on a holiday weekend. Our next home game is ACC's NCState. That number will be much better, well, at least it better be.

It's Gardner Webb, but I guess that helps make your point.

Why is Troy so low? Figured the new coach would ramp it up? Gus and Nick both at home that day?

On a day with thunderstorms. There were 2 lightning delays. It is what it is.

I think you hit the nail on the head. Both Auburn and Alabama having home openers and being ranked 3 and 6. Though with Auburns showing, maybe that'll change some.
I will say I was a bit shocked with Troy's showing too.

Auburn dropped to 18 in the AP 25, and 15 in the coaches poll

I'm not too shocked. Many people are probably waiting to see how Troy's season goes. I suspect you'll see it goes up as the season progresses... given Troy actually plays well.

We will do better with USA at home in a few weeks... I'm guessing 21-23k with good weather.

I would like to claim it as making a point, but really, just had a brain fart and spread it all over the intrawebz.

RE: Attendance --Week 1 and 2
Not worried about App State's numbers. Once we skull drag ODU at their place in week 4 the mountain folk will put their shine production on hold and be back at KBS.
The Wyoming game should have a full house, in the 26-28,000 range.
