Game Thread: South Alabama vs Nebraska
We throw a pick and Nebraska marches right down the field to take a 7-0 lead.

14-0 and lucky it's not 21-0. Need some offense on this possession to stop the bleeding. So far we've gone 3 and out twice.

Unless the receivers start catching some passes it's going to be a long night in Lincoln for the good guys.

Doesn't matter how many we catch if we can't stop that running back.

I just don't won't to get shutout. At this point our "D" is having trouble stopping anyone in red.

31-3 with a little left in the 3rd. We had a long one called back with a hands to the face penalty.

48-9 final. 332 yards but only 19 on the ground. That surpasses Cal Poly as our worst beat down to date. We did have a long TD called back on a tacky call that would have made this our 2nd worst beat down.

I know it was on the B1G network with B1G announcers, but those guys were absolute idiots when it came to our program. They really needed and should have at least who we have played in the past. They looked at it as if we have never played in a big stadium, in front of a large crowd, and it was a milestone for us to score in front of 89k people.
The B1G is so full of themselves.

Did any of you travel to Lincoln?
Every football fan in the southeast needs to do this once. Ive never seen a group that treats visitors as graciously as the Husker fans.
Southern miss has played there 3 times in the past and were treated the same way, with Nebraska fans standing and clapping after the game.

89,000 fans is the largest crowd we've played against and they may be friendly, but they are quite loud.

What was the attendance at UT the year we played them, and came 6 yards from winning that game.
I always hated Nebraska, until I had to start going there for game day a few years back. They really are nice people, but I still don't like Tom Osborne or his criminal teams.

I went and had a great time. People weren't as friendly as advertised. Tailgating was great and everyone around the stadium was cordial but everywhere else around town people looked like zombies and wouldn't engage in any conversation. Not rude just not very talkative. Totally different from the southeast where everyone wants to talk and ask questions especially of visitors. Ran into a guy wearing a ULM sweatshirt and LSU hat and we talked for twenty minutes. His family lives in Nebraska and cooks crawfish and other LA foods for the games. He said people in Nebraska are cordial but don't care to carry on conversations unless they know you.
The stadium and town were fantastic. I'd go back for sure. Wish more USA fans were there. We had maybe 75 fans in the stands

That attendance at Neyland Stadium in 2013 (USA @ UT) was 95,736. I stand corrected, sir.
