Congrats Southern . . . . Solid win, though I was expecting a closer game . .. .

Observations from the game:
1. The ribbon board really added a lot to the game day atmosphere
2. They did a way better job maintaining the atmosphere, video boards, music
3. Having commercials on the big screen is still kinda meh
4. They need to format the video to fit the oval screen so nothing gets cut off
5. Upshaw and the whole team looked way better playing at home
6. Blow outs are still kinda fun and at least it wasn't as boring as playing Sav State
7. Even though it rained most of the day, it cleared up for the game and we had a whopping 23,500 show up. I feel like we could have broken the record if it didn't rain, I saw many poor sorority girls walking back to the dorms in a soaked sundress before the game. Didn't bring an umbrella to the tailgates. Also, apparently they didn't scan a lot of student ID's to get in to the stadium so there's no telling how many people actually showed up. We could have broken the record tonight and just not know it. Look for attendance to drop next week unless people get really hyped about welcoming Ellison back.
8. Tonight was a good night to be an Eagle!
9. One down, six more to go before I start looking for cheap air fair to Orlanda or Mobile.

This game had me worried even before the WVU beat down but I was impressed with how we sucked it up and came to play. Upshaw still didn't seem to run the offense as efficiently as Ellison but he still did pretty well. All in all it's a good night to be an Eagle!

Nice turn around. I thought returning home would be the trick. With Ellison's return you guys should really be hitting on all cylinders.

I was one of the few on our board who predicted a win tonight. After last week we had many of our own fans predicting a double digit loss.

When I was taking pictures of the new Press Box at AState today, one of the pictures happened to be framed with the Georgia Southern flag blowing in the breeze at the same time.

I took it as a sign that you guys were going to win today. Congrats.

Brilliant game. Beautiful evening after I got rain soaked. Luckily still had poncho from game last week.

I predicted a win. Getting points in Paulson is akin to stealing money. Said it before, we don't lose at home.

Nice win!

I think we are a better team than last year once Ellison returns.

1) Defense has more depth, stuffs the run and doesn't give up long tds.

2) OL is coming around and dominated WMU. FR tackle Culbreath is huge and will quickly become the starter.

3) Breida better than ever. A TD threat every time he touches the ball. FR RB Fields looks very good and will split carries with Ramsby.

Pulled the stats up on ESPN game cast at on point Breida had 8 carries for 120 yards and 4 tds. Not too bad!!!

I really think your second point is going to be true. Secondary is much deeper and pretty experienced.

Breida was 11 for 176
