Apparently the 4 B12 TX teams are going to charge each others' bands to attend games

Marching Bands usually have to pay for every member to get in the game. Surprised the B12 schools were nice enough not to charge the band members. Personally I think they shouldn't charge bands if they are visiting.

I have never heard of that happening. and having been in the texas A-I band and the uta band and knowing people in the tcu and untexas and ut-austin bands never heard of that happening. they all reciprocate but give the band the crappy seats. could see that being the case for games at jerry world tho.

There was a rule in place during the Southwest Conference days that no team would charge the visiting band for admission. After the dissolution of the SWC, the Texas teams in the Big XII (TTU, UT, BU, A&M-replaced by TCU) continued the tradition...until this year apparently.

GS had to pay for Southern Pride to go to Florida, Ga Tech, and even Ga State I believe.

Missouri was planning on bringing their band this weekend to Jonesboro, but recently backed out. I guess they didn't want to pay the $55+ per ticket.

UT is probably behind this change . . . .

God knows, they'll need the money . . . . To pay for a National Search .. . . For a New Football Coach, after the experiment that is Charlie Strong fails.

If you thought the cries out of Austin were loud after the Notre Dame Game, let 'em lose to Rice . . . . . .

I agree it's not likely. I know a lot of TX Alum who are running a little scared this week over the possibility . . . And it is possible .. . . UT has not looked good for a while, going back to their last few games of last season (especially on offense). . . Arkansas totally embarrassed them in their Bowl game . . . . And Whorn fans are beside themselves over Charlie's inability to recruit a legit QB during the off season.

I do feel kinda bad for Charlie . . . He seems to be in over his head . . . .still, would love to see Rice pull the upset . . . .
