How would you rank the Belt after week one?
11. Georgia Southern until proven otherwise.

RE: How would you rank the Belt after week one?
1. App State -- Only other contender being ULL (who we beat soundly at the end of last season, who brought back less, and lost this week), we did what we needed to do against Howard. Re: Campbell comparisons, a mid-tier MEAC school is better than a non-scholarship team from the Patriot League. And we could have beaten Howard 66-0 if we wanted to.

2. ULL -- The only solid showing against a P5 that we might have all season.

3. Troy -- NC State is a front in the ACC this year.

4. Georgia Southern -- Ellison is clearly very important to your offense, despite what some of the Stink fans were saying this summer.

5. stAte -- Not looking good by the Red Wolf's normal standards. I don't think very highly of this team right now, everyone else's misfortune lands stAte at 5.

6. USA -- You went down early to an FCS team, but you pulled out the win.

7. NMSU -- We were actually at the bar watching this game after the App game and I thought the Yosemite Sams looked ok on offense.

8. Texas State -- It's Florida State but you boys just bent over for a freshman QB.

9. ULM -- I was expecting more from this defense. It impressed me in a losing effort at The Rock last year.

10. Idaho -- Decent offense, terrible defense. What else is new.

11. Georgia State -- Won't win a single football game all year.

Everette Golson (senior): 19 - 25 302 yrds 4 TDs
Sean McGuire (freshman): 6 - 7 68 yrds 1 TD

Try again...

Edit: not to mention we had pulled our starters at that point.

Apologies. I was still thinking about Florida (Gators). We were in that bar all vocally cheering for NMSU and some other App fans were freaking out about Florida. When we asked them why they weren't rooting for our conference member they told us they were home town friends with the freshman starter from FU. I almost started pulling for their boy after that. Pretty funny. It was like their team was in the super bowl.

1a) Georgia Southern - ULL recently trailed OkSt 41-0 at halftime and went on to share the conference title so the WV game has no impact on the conference run especially considering our all conference QB was out. Defense is solid and the OL has a little time to get worked out before SBC play.
1b) Louisiana - nice comeback, but missed an opportunity to beat a team WKU has beaten twice recently. Appears to be similar team as the last 4 years.
1c) App State - Learned zero from game one. App had a 66-0 win during their disastrous start last season.
4a, b) Ark St, Tx St - FSU, USC so hard to tell much.
6) ULM - Ceasar is a legit talent at WR.
7) Troy - were bad last year, so hard to move to the top half after one game.
8) South Alabama - way too much roster turnover. Will be a long season.
11) NMSU,Idaho, GaSt - Only thing positive is they can feel less guilty given the performance of the other SBC teams last week.

This looks accurate after week 2 except I would go ahead and put GS 1, ULL and App 2a and 2b.

If our fourth best team can take number 20 something Missouri to the wire then we have a solid conference. I'm thinking Ark st comes in a bit higher. Other than that this looks fine at the moment.

Certain people in our fan base need to understand a disappointing loss doesn't mean your season is over and a good win doesn't mean you're unstoppable.

Change our fan base to the every fan base and we've got this thing covered.

I still don't what we've really learned about anyone so far.
